Shy Ronnie 2: Ronnie & Clyde

This weekend’s “Saturday Night Live,” hosted by Jon Hamm, was basically a slam dunk. But my favorite part was the digital short where musical guest Rihanna played opposite Andy Samberg’s “Shy Ronnie” character. Ronnie really needs to exercise that voicebox. Uh-oh, boner alert! Keep reading »

Cats, Cats, Cats And Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins!

Little known zoological fact: big cats love them some pumpkins. In this video from Big Cat Rescue, in Tampa, FL, all manner of lions and tigers and ocelots and cougars frolic and play with painted Halloween pumpkins and gourds. Big cats, still kitten cute. [BuzzFeed] Keep reading »

What Do You Think Of This Short Film Tavi Story Produced?

Up until recently, fashion blogger Tavi‘s professional work in the fashion industry could be called “gimmicky”—projects that rely on Tavi’s character as a young blogger. Yet lately, the smart fashion enthusiast has chosen to remain behind the scenes of her work. Like in this video she produced in collaboration with Alia Raza and Derek Blasberg and starring Julia Restoin-Roitfeld. We’re not exactly clear on what “story produced” means. “Sesame Street” Clings To Jude Law — And So Would We

In his recent appearance on “Sesame Street,” Jude Law was used to illustrate what the word “cling” means. The show had a mouse, an octopus, and a monkey “cling” to Law. An Ode To Danno

Though his full name may be Danny Williams, everyone knows the hardworking and lovable sidekick of “Hawaii Five-O” as Danno. James MacArthur brought this iconic character to life, and provided us with one of the most important phrases in the pop culture lexicon: “Book’ em Danno.” MacArthur spent 12 seasons booking Hawaii’s toughest thugs in the original 1968 series. He passed away this week of natural causes at 72. His most memorable role lives on in CBS’s reboot of the show and in the thousands of original fans who remember MacArthur for keeping America’s paradise safe. Keep reading »

Ke$ha More “Sleazy” Than Usual In New Song

Take that, Katy Perry and your whipped-cream-spewing/fireworks-exploding boobs. Two can play this game! Ke$ha, the greatest artist of our generation, has tapped into the “Jersey Shore” spirit with her new song, “Sleazy.” It’s the cliché “Your Money Doesn’t Impress Me, Dude,” girl power-ish tune that every female singer or singing group does. But because this is Ke$ha we’re talking about, the hook is “get sleazy … get sleazy … get sleazy.” I’m going to go bop my head to this ditty and fret about what it means for society if “Jersey Shore” is seed for the zeitgeist.
