Lady GaGa’s Head Is The Center Of The Universe

Are you sick of Lady GaGa? We aren’t! Yesterday, the Lady was on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” to perform “Poker Face.” Not only was her intro interesting (she starts off sounding like Amy Winehouse and ends up playing the piano while standing on the bench in heels), but her outfit, once again, was exceptional. Her headgear looked like a solar system model, with Lady GaGa’s head as the sun. She paired that with a Britney Spears circa 2001 patchwork denim jumpsuit. Even if you’re not a fan of Lady GaGa’s, you can’t help but appreciate her elaborate costumes. Keep reading »

Elizabeth Edwards Criticized For Dragging John’s Affair Back Into The Spotlight

Elizabeth Edwards is promoting her new book, Resilience, last week on “Oprah” and then on “The Today Show.” By talking openly about her life, she’s opened herself up to criticism. Daily Beast editor-in-chief Tina Brown and New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd have attacked Edwards’ decision to write about her husband’s affair with Rielle Hunter when everyone was beginning to forget about it. Is Edwards beating a dead horse? Or is this her chance to speak her mind?

On The Daily Beast, Brown writes:

The hazard of confessional books is how fast the world moves on while they’re written. Hearing about that doggy old “misdemeanor”—as she insists on calling her husband’s infidelity with a campaign videographer while he was running for president and she was fighting terminal cancer—just drags us back into the messy aftermath of the election season at a time when we are now busy trying to get on with a collapsing economy and save our own lives.

  • Target Practice, Love Doll-Style

Welcome to Monday, people. Let’s get this week started right — with a fun-loving video in which armed women shoot inflatable love dolls out of the sky. Now you know what you wish you were doing if you weren’t at work, don’t you? Making a feminist statement by annihilating that which represents the patriarchal objectification of women! Or, you know, maybe it’s just some wacky Japanese TV show. However you want to see it, it looks like a good time to me. Do you think that maybe for the next episode they could send up a squadron of those inflatable Sarah Palin love dolls? That would be a great opportunity for making an awesome political statement, indeed. Keep reading »

President Obama Believes In Michelle’s Right To Bare Arms

If you missed it, here’s President Obama’s speech at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner. He’s very funny. I love the moment when he comments on Michelle’s right to “bare arms,” and she flexes and gives the Prez an adorably flirtatious look. Keep reading »

“Saturday Night Live” Has A Lot Of Love For Mom

Justin Timberlake hosted “Saturday Night Live” for the third time this weekend and, as expected, kicked ass. A couple skits stood out: the follow-up to “Dick in a Box,” an ode to moms called “Mother Lover,” which featured guest appearances by Susan Sarandon and Patricia Clarkson, and, after the jump, a hilarious fake commercial for the “Mom Celebrity Translator.” Keep reading »

A White Castle Ad For Furry Lovers

Fast food commercials continue to get raunchier and raunchier. Arby’s “me likey” commercial was kind of funny because it alluded to sex but didn’t actually involve any. The sex-talking Quizno’s oven was kind of creepy because it brought sex and fast food closer together. Now, White Castle’s Pulled Pork Sandwich grosses us out. Barbecue sauce all over a plushy costume? Someone’s going to have to explain what happened to the dry cleaner. Keep reading »

Is Hillary Clinton Allowed To Cry In Peace Now?

Hillary Clinton was visibly shook up while honoring a 25-year-old fallen diplomat, Brian Adkins, at a State Department ceremony last Friday. Her voice cracked when she began listing his accomplishments, and she never recovered. This wasn’t the first time Clinton became teary in public. Before the primary in New Hampshire, she became very emotional when she was asked how she was able to do everything. People that didn’t like her called them “crocodile tears.” However, no one complained about her most recent show of emotion. [Politics Daily]

There’s this ridiculous idea that emotions don’t belong in politics and women are too emotional to be president. So, if Clinton had won the election and broken down while honoring the diplomat, do you think there would have been more of an outcry? Let us know in the comments. Keep reading »
