Bunny In A Blender: Anti-Abortion Group’s New Scare Tactic

Anti-abortion group The American Life League has released a new video in support of Congress defunding Planned Parenthood and it wants you to think that a doctor scraping an eight-week-old bunch of cells from a uterus is just like slaughtering a cute animal in a blender. Yep, a person dressed in hospital scrubs places a bunny in a blender, the screen goes black, the blender whirs, and the camera pans to a several-months-old Caucasian baby. Nuanced! My first thought was something that my Token Pro-Life Catholic Friend said to me about how he is against abortion because it’s “an act of violence.” Huh? I don’t see women’s health supporters using imagery so cruel. [YouTube via Feministing] Keep reading »

Little Girls Debut Music Video Criticizing Lil Wayne’s Sexist Lyrics

Kick ass! A nine-year-old and a 10-year-old who call themselves Watoto From The Nile wrote and performed a hip-hop song about rapper Lil Wayne’s derogatory and sexist lyrics. How much do you love these little girls? Amelia, when you retire in 2031 and replace yourself with the five-year-old girl who won’t marry until she has a job, can these cuties replace me, Kate and Ami? Pretty Cool Miley Cyrus’ “SNL” Hosting Gig Will Be … Pretty Cool

Miley Cyrus is hosting “Saturday Night Live” this week with musical guests The Strokes and her previews hint at one of my favorite sketches ever, “The Miley Cyrus Show!” Hey, at least the girl doesn’t take herself too seriously, right? But really I hope there’s a skit addressing that video where’s she’s smoking saliva divinorum out of a bong and giggling like a fool. That was entertaining as all hell. (Also: drugs are bad, don’t do drugs!) [Celebuzz] Keep reading »

Natalie Kenly & Rachel Oberlin — All About Charlie Sheen’s “Goddesses”

,

Charlie Sheen just can’t stop talking, can he? Over the weekend, he invited cameras into his home and introduced them to his two “goddesses”—a porn star named “Rach” and a model named “Natty“—the two women who are living in his home, which Sheen has now fittingly dubbed the “Sober Valley Lodge.” On one hand, these two ladies sound like glorified babysitters. “We run errands, we eat, we play with the kids. We watch movies,” Natty describes in the clip above. But on the other, their arrangement sounds pretty dirty. “We have two beds in the bedroom and it is a 2-1 switch off,” Charlie explained to Howard Stern. “They will take a separate bed and then I have to choose.”

But their connection is deep, Charlie swears. “These women don’t judge me. They don’t lead with opinion. They don’t — they don’t — they don’t lead with their own needs all the time,” he explained. “Maybe the three of us will get married. I don’t know. It’s a polygamy story. It’s a polygamy story. All my guy friends are gonna like throw tomatoes at me. It’s like an organic union of the hearts.”

So who are these two? After the jump, all you need to know about Natalie Kenly and Rachel Oberlin. Keep reading »

Heidi Klum Takes Off Her Undies For Jay Leno

What makes famous women take off their underwear? Jay Leno. In a sketch on last night’s show, Ross Matthew asked celebs at the Oscars to contribute something to Jay’s gift bag. Jamie Foxx relinquished his sunglasses; Hayden Panettiere kissed a napkin as a contribution; Tori Spelling talked incessantly about her crotchless Spanx—which, way too much information. And then Heidi Klum made the entire video, offering, “You want my underwear?” She then shimmyed them off underneath her sparkly dress. A woman of her word. Clip above. [PopEater] Keep reading »

Pop Star Brian McFadden Pens New Ode To Date Rape

You would think that a song called “Just the Way You Are” would be about loving and accepting a person with all their faults and foibles and so on and so forth. But it turns out that the full title of Irish pop singer Brian McFadden’s new song is “Just the Way You Are (Drunk at the Bar).” And it turns out that this song, far from being about unconditional love and acceptance, is in fact a gift for the committee in charge of picking a new national anthem for the Republic of Daterapia. Check out this chorus, after the jump. Keep reading »
