By day, she’s a certified nursing assistant in Griffin, Georgia, but by night, Phyllis, a grandmother in her 60s, has a shocking secret: She’s addicted to doll collecting.
She has more than 50,000 of them, according to the A&E series, “Hoarders,” which featured Phyllis on the season premiere episode that aired on June 20. Her explanation for keeping the dolls — which are in varying degrees of decay and shabbiness — is simple.

I have a new favorite contestant on “America’s Got Talent,” one who I think rivals Prince Poppycock in grandeur. His name is Steve Retchless and he is a “pole-fessional.” In other words, he’s a pole dancer. “You don’t usually think of males in pole dancing,” said Howie Mandel after his intro. Steven’s response? “That’s why I’m here.” And yes, he was pretty freaking awesome dancing to Katy Perry’s “E.T.” I even like the way this dude fell. Last night President Obama spoke at an LGBT rights fundraiser in New York City, which is noteworthy because the New York state Senate is currently on the precipice of legalizing gay marriage. In his speech, Obama addressed gay and lesbians‘ fight for equal rights and said it is up to each individual state to do the right thing. “New York is doing exactly what democracies are supposed to do: there’s a debate, a deliberation, about what it means to treat people fairly in the eyes of the law,” he said.
