Is MTV2′s “Lingerie Football League” Totally Disgusting?

This is not a suitable “Friday Night Lights” replacement. On Friday night, MTV2 will premiere its second season of “Lingerie Football League: Friday Night Football.” The concept is fairly obvious from the title. The LFL consists of 12 teams of female players, with names like the Philadelphia Passion and the Los Angeles Temptation, who play 34 minutes of flag football per epiosde while wearing itty-bitty boy shorts and bra tops. The show’s tagline? “This is truly fantasy football.”

I’m just not sure what to make of this. Keep reading »

Lindsay Lohan, The Persecuted Graffiti Artist?

Lindsay Lohan‘s first staring role since her release from house arrest is in the music video for Miggs’ new song, “Let the Games Begin.” In the video, Lindsay plays a model/actress by day. But by night, she is a “world famous street artist known for his social commentary,” even though authorities have vowed to arrest “him.” This is obviously an allegory for Lindsay’s life. Frontman Don Miggs expalins, “She hasn’t beaten her kids or cheated on her husband. She isn’t Tiger Woods or Mel Gibson. She hasn’t done things that have hurt other people.” Keep reading »

Bret Michaels: Weather Man

Last week, before his appearance on “Bachelor Pad” last night or the news that he’s teaming up with Donald Trump for a reality series that sounds like far too wholesome (concept: Bret helps people “overcome their problems”), Bret Michaels had another TV gig. On the Weather Channel. Apparently, he did a little storm chasing for the network, showing footage taken out of his tour bus window. “This is Bret Michaels. I am on tour and heading into one of the most insane storms I’ve ever seen,” he says. “You’ve got to see this lightning, check it out. Woah. The wind’s gotta be blowing at least 40 mph. All kinds of insane lightning strikes. This is awesome. Scary, but cool.” He also took footage from his private plane as they flew over Omaha. “The only thing you’re seeing is rooftops of some of these buildings. Bridges gone,” he said. “A lot of good people here, including my sisters, they’ve been hit hard by the flooding. So let’s hope for the best.” Indeed. Maybe he and Donald can make that their first stop? [Hollywood Reporter] Keep reading »

Two Girls, One Pizza Pie

Well this world record looks like a fun one. Erin O’Keefe and Amy Milano endeavored to take the Guinness World Record RecordSetter.com title for Most Tandem Pizza Slice Face Slaps in 15 Seconds. Very creative! Watch as they accomplish a grand total of 174 tandem slice slaps. Adds a whole new meaning to the term “pizza face.” All that grease couldn’t have been good for their complexions. The New Season Of “Nikita” Is Going To Kick Butt

Some people are anxiously awaiting the new “Charlie’s Angels.” Me? I am far, far, far more excited about the return of “Nikita,” the CW’s female spy show that quickly became one of my faves during its first season. What I like about “Nikita” is that the two main characters—Nikita and Alex—have a relationship that unpeels like an onion. As layers of information come off, it becomes increasingly unclear whether they’re working for or against each other’s interests. Here it appears that they may actually be enemies in season two? Guess we’ll have to wait and see. Keep reading »

Say Something Nice, You Jerks!

New Yorkers aren’t exactly known for being the nicest, most positive bunch. Which might have been why the folks at Improv Everywhere set out to get Manhattan residents to say something nice, for once. The prank collective set up bullhorns around the city with the express aim of encouraging people to spread the positivity, and boy did they ever. [Improv Everywhere] Keep reading »
