This Is What Happens When You Pose Like A Model In Public

Filmmaker Yolanda Dominguez decided to see what would happen if real women posed like fashion models. In public. And then she filmed the reactions of passersby. The result is both hilarious (at one point, a concerned McDonald’s employee comes to check on a woman who seems to have glued her clutch to her forehead) and intriguing. If you read a lot of fashion magazines, even the most contorted poses start to look familiar and even normal. It’s pretty jarring to see them taken out of context, and I think it says a lot about the way the fashion world views women. Check it out and let us know what you think! [YouTube] Keep reading »

Anne Hathaway Has A Camera Up Her Crotch

Or at least that’s what she told Conan O’Brien last night … in the form of a Lil’ Wayne-inspired rap song. Is there anything Anne Hathaway can’t do? The “Dark Knight Rises” star revealed how the art of rap helped her deal with the persistent paparazzi attention surrounding the movie. Whether “Pop, Pop, Pop” will be a Billboard Top 100 is rather irrelevant—we think it’s ah-maz-ing. Our favorite line by far is “Don’t act so hotsy-totsy, bitch, I know that you from Jersey!” We sense a Lil’ Wayne collaboration remixed by DJ Pauly D on the horizon. Ed Westwick’s Hot British Accent Comes Out In “Gossip Girl” Blooper Reel

Why are all these other people in this “Gossip Girl” blooper reel? A perfectly fine video would have been the world’s sexiest Brit, Ed Westwick, struggling to pronounce words like “favor” in an American accent and failing adorably. Penn Badgely and Chace Crawford roughhousing is pretty cute, too. [YouTube via NYmag.com] Keep reading »

Guess Who’s Auditioning For “Jersey Shore”?

It’s not easy to make a good “Jersey Shore” spoof video because, frankly, they’ve all been done before. So an Ed Hardy hat off to you, Conan O’Brien, for this lovably demented “Jersey Shore” audition tape. [Team Coco] Keep reading »

Levi’s Pulls “Go Forth” Ads After London Riots

Levi’s chose to pull a commercial featuring scenes of attractive teens rioting in the streets in light of last week’s riots in London. A spokesperson for the company said the ad — which includes lines from the Charles Bukowski poem “The Laughing Heart” — was probably ill-timed, considering “what is happening in the UK.” Said the spokesperson: “While ‘Go Forth’ is about embodying the energy and events of our time, it is not about any specific movement or political theme; rather, it’s about optimism, positive action and a pioneering spirit.” But, then again, it also does feature a Levi’s-clad protester facing a wall of riot police, so yeah, optimism? On another note, isn’t it strange/depressing that marketing has folded in on itself to the degree that it’s now using revolution and rioting imagery to SELL JEANS? [Clutch Magazine] Keep reading »

Britney Spears Gives Pauly D A Lap Dance; Nicki Minaj Gives One To Drake, Too

Something must be in the water as Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj roll through Canada on their Femme Fatale tour. Throughout the tour, BritBrit has been pulling an audience member on stage and giving them a sexy lap dance. But over the weekend, Britney opted to give the dance to her tourmate, Pauly D, instead. Is it just me or does her look a little too comfortable getting handcuffed to that pole?

This is especially of note because at an earlier stop, Nicki Minaj gave a lap dance to Drake.
