Jennifer Lopez Makes Like Marilyn Monroe On “Lopez Tonight”

Celebrities loooooove Marilyn Monroe. Lindsay Lohan, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aquilera, and Scarlet Johansson all channel her on a regular basis. And last night, Jennifer Lopez became the latest to make like the original blond bombshell when she slinked onto “Lopez Tonight” in a floor-length dress and blond wig to sing “Happy Birthday” to George Lopez, just like Marilyn did for John F. Kennedy on his 45th birthday. Sure, it’s cute when she says, “Calm down, birthday boy. Take a seat and let me do my thing.” But the Marilyn act is just getting so old. Next. Keep reading »

Ray J’s Mom Talks About His Sex Tape … On National TV

I can’t really think of anything more mortifying then having your mom discuss your sex tape on national television while you are sitting right next to her. Poor Ray J looks like he wants to crawl inside that couch and disappear while his mom, Sonja Norwood, and Wendy Williams have a convo about his infamous dirty vid with Kim Kardashian. Oh, and his dad and sister Brandy are there too, by the way. It’s like a bad dream. And just when you think the worst of it is over, his mom starts bragging about how he never posed for Playgirl or tried to launch an erotic career like Kim did after the sex tape leaked. Even Brandy let out a groan after that one. Best part? Wendy ends the most uncomfortable moment ever by telling Ray J, “For the record, it was nice watching [your sex tape],” and then high-fiving him. I’m sure I don’t need to point out how many shades of wrong that is. [NY Post] Keep reading »

Ciara Takes A Raunchy Ride In Her Latest Video

Over on Salon’s Broadsheet, writer Tracy Clark-Flory gives Ciara‘s latest video, “Ride,” a rave review, deeming the performer “aggressively sexual in a way we don’t often see with pop music’s princesses.” And all you have to do is take one look at the video, and you’ll agree. Ciara has donned the typically-male swagger to show how sex positive a girl can get. “I can do it up and down/I can do circles,” she sings in her cowgirl anthem. “To him I’m a gymnast/This one is my circus.” Personally speaking, I think it’s going to be a while before I get all those moves down without breaking my back. Who Needs Bravo When There’s YouTube?

Ever since “Kell on Earth” went off the air, there’s a major void in our life on the nights that used to be filled with Andrew’s outfits, Skinner’s freak-outs, and the powerful Kelly Cutrone. Currently, Bravo’s deciding if they want to renew the reality show, as if there’s even a question of its popularity. In the meantime, Kelly decided that she really doesn’t need a network, and created her very own YouTube channel called KellyCutroneTV. So far, there are only four videos posted — one about Andrew’s $2,000 Rodarte purchase, an interview from Ava, a true-or-false game with Skinner, and a random sing-along from Kelly to “Betty Davis Eyes.” Every single video includes massive sunglasses and the dry humor that we all desperately miss from “Kell on Earth.” Whether this is a way to satiate our People’s Revolution cravings until a second season airs or these videos turn into a regular TV-like show, we’re pleased that the entertaining characters are back in our lives. Benicio Del Toro “Sells Out” With Magnum Ice Cream Ad

Apparently, folks are super pissed at Benicio Del Toro for “selling out” and making this commercial with director Bryan Singer for Magnum ice cream. I was mostly confused about why it was so frickin’ long when just one shot of the ice cream bar made me really want it … something about golden chocolate and salt caramel. Om nom nom. But YouTube commenters are attacking the actor, saying things like, “You’re just whores in a capitalist gang bang,” which seems a little harsh. It’s an ice cream commercial—what can be more innocuous than that? It’s not like he’s trying to sell us pills or yogurt that makes you poop! What do you guys think — should we rip Benicio a new one or should we go sit on the grass and eat an ice cream bar? [Inside Movies] Keep reading »

The Fabulous Life Of J. Crew Creative Director Jenna Lyons

On yesterday’s show, Oprah learned about an assortment of dream jobs, including Jenna Lyon‘s position as J. Crew’s creative director. Not only does Jenna have an amazing career, but everything about her life is seemingly perfect, too. She calls a gorgeous Brooklyn townhouse home (bedroom-sized closet, of course), has a handsome husband and a cute kid, gets all the J. Crew clothes she wants, and somehow manages to get home by 6:30 p.m. every evening. Watch a day in her life above, but be prepared to feel some serious pangs of jealousy. [Oprah] Keep reading »

Lane Bryant Says ABC Is Fat-O-Phobic

Apparently ABC has a problem with hot ladies in their undies. Or so says plus-sized lingerie purveyor Lane Bryant in their claim that the network tried to shut out their plus-sized lingerie commercial. ABC “demanded excessive re-edits and rebuffed it three times before relenting to air it during the final 10 minutes of ‘American Idol,’ but only after we threatened to pull the ad buy,” blogged the company in a bit of well-placed outrage. We watched the commercial (above) and don’t get what the problem is. Yeah, she’s crazy hot and half naked, but ABC routinely airs Victoria’s Secret commercials featuring busty teenagers prancing about in front of fans; this looks tame by comparison. Thoughts? Mary J. Blige Gets Psychedelic On “Idol Gives Back”

In case you got bored and started fast-forwarding through last night’s “Idol Gives Back” bonanza (it was kind of a snoozefest), you might have missed the best moment of the pseudo-telethon—Mary J. Blige covering “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin. That’s what I love most about Mary, she can sing anything, even psychedelic rock. Randy Jackson got up there and jammed with her band and her lady guitarist shredded that famous solo. Oh, and then Tim Urban got eliminated and no one cared. Keep reading »
