Playboy Bunnies Now Headed To NBC

NBC has figured out a way to get women in Playboy Bunny outfits airtime during that vital primetime time slot. The network is developing a drama called “Playboy” about women working at a Playboy club in NYC in the 1960s. According to TVGuide.com, it will focus on changing sexual mores of the era and the beginning of the sexual revolution. Also, bunny tails!

But wait? Haven’t we seen something like this before? Keep reading »

Patti Stanger Tried To Set Up Judith Regan And Sumner Redstone

On this season of “The Millionaire Matchmaker,” Patti Stanger has been in New York City, since apparently the single ladies here have been begging her for years to help. And in general, she seems to pretty much detest NY women. “L.A. is flaky and New York is snotty,” she explains. “‘Oh, excuse me, did you cure cancer yet, because I don’t think I can date you.’ A lot of those. And the girls were not as hot as I expected. There were a lot of girls who thought they were great, and I’m like, honey, you’re 25 pounds overweight … nobody wants to ride your ride.” [NY Post]

Patti has taken on some high-profile women this season, including DJ Sky Nellor. In next week’s episode, her client is Judith Regan, aka the publishing scion known for discovering authors like Wally Lamb and Douglas Coupland, and for almost publishing OJ Simpson’s oh-so-classy book, If I Did It. Darren Criss Says He Looks Like A Bum In Real Life

“I look very different from [Blaine]. He has slicked-back hair, while I have really curly hair. And I never shave. I’m kind of a bum.”

Darren Criss, i.e., Kurt’s prepster love interest on “Glee,” says that in real life, he doesn’t look much like his character. We’re sure both versions are adorable. [In Style] Keep reading »

R. Kelly Steps It Up On “Jimmy Fallon”

Real talk: R. Kelly is a very questionable dude. But! Speaking as someone who has actually stopped what I’m doing so I could watch all 36 parts of “Trapped in the Closet,” he’s also made some of the best jams ever. On Tuesday’s episode of “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” Kelly did a mash-up of two of his best songs: “Ignition (Remix)” and “Step In the Name of Love”—and totally impressed the crap out of us. (And if you haven’t heard it, check out his track “I’m a Flirt.” It’s on constant replay in my head.) [YouTube] Keep reading »

Snooki To Ring In The New Year … In A Dropping Hamster Ball

MTV has found its magic ingredient to stay relevant in a post music video world—”Jersey Shore.” And thus, the cast of the addictively sleazy show will be front and center at 2010′s MTV New Year’s Eve Bash. The special has lined up a series of “Shore” stunts to get viewers tuning in. The biggest and most outlandish of which has to be the plan to put Snooki in her own ball and have her drop along with Times Square’s legendary orb to ring in the New Year, hamster-style. The rest of the “Shore” slummers have been assigned the task of turning the NYC crowd into a massive fist-pumping mosh pit in hopes of breaking a Guinness World Record. For what? I’m not sure. Largest public exhibition of douchebaggery, perhaps? [Huffington Post] Keep reading »

Doll Hoarding Is Very Scary

I usually watch “Hoarders” every week as an incentive to clean my apartment and throw unnecessary crap away. Every once in a while, one of the hoarders really gets to me. A couple of moths ago, it was Sir Patrick, the leprechaun hoarder. This week, it’s Susan, the doll hoarder. After her “doll house” was cleaned out, over 1,000 dolls were found to be living there. They even had a “doll parade” so she could see them all and decide which ones to keep and which ones to get rid of. When extreme cleaning specialist Matt Paxton (that’s him up there bravely diving into the doll pile) posed the question “How would you like to die under a pile of dolls?” I shuddered. Answer: I would not like to go that way. I haven’t been able to shake the thought since. Very scary indeed. Watch the entire episode here. Keep reading »
