Sometimes you’re like, “Fashion, do you ever want to be taken seriously?” And Fashion is all, “Guh, no. I need to be true to my self.” And then Fashion turns up with this monstrosity, a goddamn paper bag jacket, straight out of Mugatu’s “Derelicte” collection. So, so, terrible, and only $480. Lady Gaga Does Her Best “Derelicte”

Watch Video

Real talk: This Lady Gaga video for Thierry Mugler’s Spring 2012 collection is so out of control, so twitchy, and outrageously Le Fashion Video that it has to have been inspired by Mugato’s Derelicte collection. I mean it’s straight outta “Zoolander,” right? Gaga plays a weird diamond-toothed rave kid with a biiiiiiiit of a Mugler obsesh. [YouTube]

A Bunch Of Real Life Zoolanders

Not going to lie, this video of male models — from the spring 2012 fashion shows — lip-syncing Elvis Presley is pretty hot. But it also reminds us of the gas fight scene in “Zoolander.” Plus, it’s funny that the lyrics to this song are “a little less talk, a little more action,” because really, you wouldn’t want to have a conversation with any of these guys, I bet. You’d be all Dianne Wiest in “Bullets Over Broadway:” “Don’t speak, don’t speak!” Just look pretty! [Fashionista] Keep reading »

Old Navy Ad Pokes Fun At Men’s High Fashion

Old Navy ads are usually a bit grating, what with their aggressive musical numbers about sundresses and those obnoxious talking mannequins. But this new one is pretty amazing. In it, male models pose in a bunch of bizarre situations—whilst carrying a sheep, whilst screaming on a couch wearing a vicar’s cap, whilst twirling in a baroque living room—as they whisper the words “Supår Tool” over and over again. Until the slogan “Dress like a man” appears on screen. Oh how, this makes me want to watch “Zoolander,” stat. Keep reading »

“Zoolander 2″ Is In The Works!

“I just saw [Ben Stiller] now and we’re talking about doing another ‘Zoolander’ movie. … I think there’s a really good script and I think we’re going to do it.”

—Hansel, I mean Owen Wilson, makes our Christmas dreams come true. Normally, sequels are abysmal, but even if “Zoolander 2″ were 60 percent less funny than the original, it would still be amazing. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »

“Zoolander” Sequel Has Us Practicing Our Poses

Word is that a sequel to “Zoolander,” everyone’s favorite male model movie, is in the works. For those of you who are missing out on life haven’t seen the original, here’s the breakdown. Ben Stiller plays Derek Zoolander as he teams up with rival model Hansel (Owen Wilson) to take down an evil fashion designer (Will Ferrell), all while looking fabulous. And by “fabulous,” we mean gelled hair and the most ridiculous man clothes we’ve ever seen. Zoolander’s patented Blue Steel pose had us breathless the first time around, and we only hope it can keep us gasping this time. No word yet on when the movie will be out, but apparently Justin Theroux is going to Paris Fashion Week for “research” purposes, so we hope it’s soon! [Elle UK] Keep reading »
