Is Posting YouTube Vids Of Your Pregnancy Test Sweet Or Creepy?

Pregnancy Tests In Vending Machines

Switzerland has an ingenious idea: put pregnancy tests in vending machines. Read More »

Taking a pregnancy test isn’t glamorous. There’s the peeing part, of course, then the waiting, then the rush of emotions that comes when the pink or blue line—or plus or minus sign or whatever—pops into view. One would think women would want this to remain a private moment, like most things that take place in the bathroom should be. But that is just not the case. Many women are recording themselves taking pregnancy tests and posting the vids on YouTube. Even stranger—thousands of people are watching said videos. Slate.com has dubbed this phenomenon WombTube. Feminism Explained (Sort Of)

Oh man. This YouTube video “Feminism Explained” is so freaking funny. Granted, the guy in the cartoon is basically arguing sexism does not exist, which is complete BS.

But I’ll be damned if I don’t know some feminists like this one (to be clear: not the “Men are bad” part, but the “It takes years to think like a proper feminist” part). And yes, this is pretty much what they sound like. Let it never be said I don’t have a sense of humor, y’all. [YouTube] Keep reading »

Do You Ever Wish You Could Totally Change Careers?

If you could make a radical career change, would you? If you’re like Chad Hurley, the guy who founded YouTube, you absolutely would. Hurley founded YouTube in 2005 and sold it to Google for an astronomical $1.76 billion in 2006, so he could choose to sit around and burn money all day if he wanted to. Instead, he founded Hlaska clothing company, a menswear clothing company, because he saw a hole in the market. “It really just comes down to trusting your instincts and creating things that you’d use yourself,” he said. The World’s Gone Animal Cam Crazy!

You remember the puppy cam, right? Well, animals cams are officially the latest craze, and they’re kind of like “The Truman Show” for pets. At UStream.tv, watch owls and eagles on feeds that air non-stop. Oh, and there’s also the bear cam, as well as channels for cats, squirrels, and other assorted critters. You can watch it for hours and hours, wasting time like it’s your job. It’s even more addictive than YouTube. Viewers chatter amongst themselves about the animal action and even name the animals, like virtual pets. It’s just like bird-watching, without the binoculars or sunburn. I need to tell my grandma about this … Keep reading »

Who Needs Bravo When There’s YouTube?

Ever since “Kell on Earth” went off the air, there’s a major void in our life on the nights that used to be filled with Andrew’s outfits, Skinner’s freak-outs, and the powerful Kelly Cutrone. Currently, Bravo’s deciding if they want to renew the reality show, as if there’s even a question of its popularity. In the meantime, Kelly decided that she really doesn’t need a network, and created her very own YouTube channel called KellyCutroneTV. So far, there are only four videos posted — one about Andrew’s $2,000 Rodarte purchase, an interview from Ava, a true-or-false game with Skinner, and a random sing-along from Kelly to “Betty Davis Eyes.” Every single video includes massive sunglasses and the dry humor that we all desperately miss from “Kell on Earth.” Whether this is a way to satiate our People’s Revolution cravings until a second season airs or these videos turn into a regular TV-like show, we’re pleased that the entertaining characters are back in our lives. Snooki Brings Her “Jersey Shore” Genius To YouTube!

This morning I struck gold. Snooki, my favorite guidette from MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” has a YouTube channel! SnookTV features videos of the poofed one hanging out with her gang of girlfriends, known as the Brunette Mafia, shaking her booty, hitting on married dudes, and lecturing people on wearing thongs or something. Anyway, Snooki explains what SnookTV is all about, above. I love her. Did I mention that I love her? I do. I love her. Keep reading »
