Christina Hendricks Really, Really Wants To Be Wonder Woman

“I grew up on the TV show, and I had Wonder Woman Underoos, and my brother had a Wonder Woman doll — sorry, Aaron, you’re exposed. And Nicolas said, when we were on set, ‘I want you to be Wonder Woman.’ And I think he is such an extraordinary and exceptional director, that if he asked me to do it, I would do it in a heartbeat … Hopefully the stars would align. It would be really fun. It would be cool, wouldn’t it? I’d get to kick ass.”

I know David E. Kelley’s re-imagining of the classic, starring Adrienne Palicki, barely got off the ground. But even though this project hasn’t even been greenlit yet, can I buy tickets now? Thirteen new Lego people based on DC superheroes are on the way, including Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, the Joker, Wolverine and Captain America. The Wonder Woman above is not an official mockup — she’s only a custom figurine, the blog DC Women Kicking Ass reports. When it was announced that David E. Kelly, the husband of Michelle Pfeiffer and creator of “Ally McBeal,” was working on a reboot of “Wonder Woman,” the buzz instantly reached a fever pitch. “Wonder Woman” Revealed: Who Is Adrianne Palicki?

We’ve been hearing about David E. Kelley’s reboot of “Wonder Woman” for months now, with the exception of one vital fact—who will be playing the all important title role. We suggested everyone from Katy Perry to Christina Hendricks, but it looks like Kelley had his eye on someone else—Adrianne Palicki of “Friday Night Lights.” Adrianne is supposedly the only actress he tested for the role, and we highly approve of this choice. Adrianne has the right dark hair/blue eyes look, and we have a feeling she can kick some serious butt. Plus, Lynda Carter agrees—shortly after the casting announcement was made, she tweeted, “Congratulations Adrianne!” [Huffington Post]
