The other day we saw a list of the 10 most stylish kids under 20. A lot of the usual suspects were on the list: actress Chloe Moretz, singer Willow Smith, and blogger Tavi Gevinson. These girls all have great style–but it helps that they have stylists, unending budgets and access to top designers to make it happen. We didn’t have that when we were teens, but still, we had pretty wild style when we were younger. Now it’s your turn to share. We want your teenage photos! Were you channeling Angela Chase? Were you a preppy gossip girl? A mallternative punk? We want to see it!
Send us a picture — with a description of what you’re wearing — that best encapsulates your teenage style, and we’ll include them in a giant Frisky reader fashion slideshow. Send your stylish teen images to me at Julie@TheFrisky.com. Keep reading »
I made an amazing discovery the other day regarding Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith
‘s kids. Willow = Will. Jaden = Jada. Cute! (What, you already figured that out? Aren’t you smart!) Well, apparently Willow
does really take after her papa, because she is considering covering his classic song, “Parents Just Don’t Understand.” She says, “There’s a possibility that I will [cover it]. It’s a really great song.” I, for one, hope she does it. I like the meta-ness of it all. [EW

What’s not to love about this 9-year-old ice skater twirling around to Willow Smith
‘s “Whip My Hair”? From her colorful locks to those Converse ice skates, she’s got it going on. Keep reading »
Our obsession with Willow Smith
continues. (Is it weird that we want to be BFF with a 10-year-old? Yes? Crap.) Check out this video of the teeny-bopper behind-the-scenes of her fashion shoot for the Times of London
. You’ll see that even off camera, Willow whips her hair quite a bit and definitely embodies the whip-happy mentality. [Styleite

Breaking: Willow Smith now has a bowl cut. And despite it looking kind of dorky … it’s kind of dorky in an awesome way. We swear: Willow’s at a point where anything this girl touches turns to gold. (Or at least, A+ hairstyles.) One question. How’s she gonna whip her hair now? Maybe this just goes to show that you don’t need to be a long-haired lady to embrace the hair-whipping mentality.
What do you think of Willow’s new ‘do? Cute? Edgy? Or oh dear? [Fashion Indie] Keep reading »
Willow Smith needed something to whip back ‘n’ forth at LA Live’s Christmas Tree Lighting. I think the candy cane braids did the trick. I’m wondering what kind of hair-whipping accessory she’ll have for the New Year’s Eve celebration with Dick Clark. Giant balls? That was wrong. Willow is adorable. Keep reading »
Willow Smith has received a huge amount of attention for the look she wore to the American Music Awards. She even landed on our worst dressed list. Many of the negative comments focused on the yellow sleeve thing she wore so proudly. Now we wonder what her reaction would be to the fact that her accessory is a knockoff of a piece by Mother of London. And the designer of Mother of London, Mildred Von Hildegard, is pissed. “I’m disappointed and saddened that this will negatively impact my business. My original design is now recognized in the mass media as someone else’s work, and it’s very hurtful on both a personal and professional levels,” Von Hildegard said to the site Haute Macabre. Stylist Mariel Haenn, who has styled Willow in the past, has even taken to Twitter to defend her name, saying she didn’t style Willow for the AMAs. This is a sad day in fashion, both for Von Hildegard and Haenn, but also for Willow, whose appearance at the AMAs was tarnished not only by that heinous outfit, but also because she’s a knockoff wearer at the age of 9.
