Whitney Houston had a serious wardrobe malfunction while performing “Million Dollar Bill” on the U.K.‘s “X-Factor.” While there was no nip slip, the back of her dress popped open and Whitney got a panicked expression on her face when she noticed the straps flying free. In the end she told the host, “I sang myself out of my clothes!” [OK!]

Let’s take a walk down celebrity wardrobe-malfunction memory lane.

In his new memoir, Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But…, Bobby Brown dishes dirt on his ex-wife Whitney Houston, fueling the rumors that she may have played for the other team. He writes:

“[Our marriage] was doomed from the very beginning… I think we got married for all the wrong reasons. Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married . . . I believe her agenda was to clean up her image, while mine was to be loved and have children. The media was accusing her of having a bisexual relationship with her assistant, Robin Crawford. Since she was the American Sweetheart and all, that didn’t go too well with her image . . . In Whitney’s situation, the only solution was to get married and have kids. That would kill all speculation, whether it was true or not.”

Hmm ... his agenda was to be loved and get married, huh? Likely story! [OMG Blog]

Oprah knows how to start a season right. Her interview with Whitney Houston yesterday (the second part airs today!) was even better than the season premiere in 2004 when every audience member left with a new car. Rather than interview Whitney in front of an audience, Oprah sat down to chat with her in an empty auditorium, which was a little awkward, but once Whitney started talking, you didn’t notice anymore. “[Bobby] was my drug,” she said. “I didn’t do anything without him. I wasn’t getting high by myself. It was me and him together, and we were partners, and that’s what my high was—him.”

In addition to describing their drug of choice, she also revealed what we all suspected—that there was physical abuse in the relationship. “He slapped me once, but he got hit on the head three times by me,” she said. Her daughter walked in the room just in time to see Bobby on the floor bleeding. And in the clip above, Whitney talked about her mother coming to her house with the police to force her into rehab. “She said, ‘I’m not losing you to the world. I’m not losing you to Satan. I want my daughter back.’ She said, ‘If you move, Bobby, they’re gonna take you down.’ ”

• Whitney Houston admitted to Oprah Winfrey that she and then-husband Bobby Brown would smoke marijuana laced with top-quality rock cocaine and wouldn’t speak to each other for days on end, even though they were sitting next to each other, because they were so stoned. • Some guys in Asbury Park, New Jersey gave Whitney Houston a tribute by performing her song “Million Dollar Bill.” [The WOW Report]—I would have guessed they were on Fire Island, not in Asbury Park.
• Days before Demi Moore chastised Perez Hilton for publishing suggestive photos of her daughter Tallulah Willis, 15, Perez promised Tyra Banks on her talk show that he’d stop making derogatory statements towards minors. [Starpulse]—Perez must have been waiting for the episode to air before he changed his ways. Or maybe his ghostwriter had no idea the promise was made?
• Matt Damon said he had the “funnest” time gaining weight for his starring role in “The Informant.” [PopEater]—I still love you, Matt, even if you don’t have the best grammar.

I fell in love with Whitney Houston the first time I saw the “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” video. I stuck with her forever, through “The Bodyguard” and “Just Whitney.” But circa 2000, we hit a bumpy road as her marriage with Bobby Brown got seriously rocky and the rumor mill seemed pretty convincing that she was having drug issues. Then there was “Being Bobby Brown,” and no one ever thought she’d come back from discussing Bobby’s poop. But finally, she’s put out a new album, I Look To You, out today. The album is a collaboration with music mogul Clive Davis, and features ditties from the likes of Akon, R. Kelly and Alicia Keys. And, phew, the reviews look good. Here’s what the critics are saying.

Whitney Houston was lookin’ good as she revealed her plans for a new record, I Look To You, in London, yesterday. Yay! The album isn’t out until September 1st here in the States, but already, the diva’s new jam leaked onto the internet. It’s called “Kiss My Ass, Bobby!” Kidding. Whitney’s voice is still skilled, albeit the bad kind of breathless. But she’s livin’ large and in charge with a “Stella Got Her Groove Back” kinda anthem called, “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength.” But after Brown and some other bad habits, how does she sound? Well, as she would put it, “It’s not right, but it’s OK.” [Daily Mail]

Ain’t love grand? Even though Pink wrote an entire album about her split from motorcross bad ass Carey Hart, and even dissed him to his face in her “So What” video, the pair is now happily back together and even renewed their vows in Australia this week. Pink is on tour promoting Funhouse, i.e. the breakup record. “It’s funny to sing those songs now,” says Pink. “He’s in the audience, so when I sing ‘He’s a tool,’ now that’s my favorite line. I’m like, ‘Hi honey, that’s you!’” Awkward.

Oh, but Pink isn’t the only rock star to totally diss a former lovah in a song, only to take their ex back. It’s as if money, power, readily available groupies, and an entire world cheering their empowerment on isn’t enough. After the jump, the most egregious examples.
