I know doing a Well Played post about Heidi Klum on the beach is painfully predictable, like, “Oh really? Heidi Klum looked great at the beach? YOU DON’T SAY.” But this picture caught my eye because beach outfits and swimsuit cover-ups are always, always brightly colored floral prints, and then here’s Heidi chilling on the beach with her bodyguard boyfriend in this black and white striped Beetlejuice-y dress. BLAAAAANG RAAAAAANG. Sorry, what? I just can’t contain my excitement about the new Sofia Coppola movie, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival today. Tonight? Time zones, whatever! Emma Watson stars as Nikki, the role based off of real-life ringleader Alexis Neiers. (Unfamiliar with Alexis? Allow me to point you in the direction of the undisputed best moment in reality TV history.) Emma wore this super-cute Christopher Kane mini to the film’s photocall, and it is safe to say that she looks neither like Hermione Granger nor her “Bling Ring” character. She does, however, look fantastic.

I can’t wear hats. I have a head the size of a middle school Civics classroom’s globe, and hats always look, uh, interesting on me. Kim Kardashian’s airport outfits usually consist of 6-inch stiletto heels, stiff peplum tops, and leather pants so tight that if you look at them for too long you can get a sympathy yeast infection. She’s stuck to this formula even as her pregnancy has progressed, and she always looks so profoundly uncomfortable (and even a little sad?), tottering between terminals in spike heels. But today is a new day, my friends. Kim Kardashian wore this cute, comfy, breathable outfit to the airport. Leggings! A soft chambray shirt! Flat sandals! Is this proof that hell has frozen over? Sometimes models off duty default to totally scruffy and unkempt. It makes sense: If you spend your days ensconced in fancy clothes and high heels, you’re probably gonna want to go casual in your private time. Not so for model and Rachel-a-like Erin O’Connor, who was caught leaving London’s Vogue Festival (we’re picturing funnel cake in Givenchy heels) in a (we think it’s) Marni skirt and turtleneck. Hey y’all, I just wanna give a shoutout to Zoe Saldana, who has been absolutely killing it everywhere she goes. Between two “Star Trek Into Darkness” events this week, and the MTV Movie Awards earlier this month, lady has been looking ahhhhhh-mazing. These looks are all seriously difficult to pull off, but she is Seriously Doing It. I can’t remember the last time I was this wowed by a star’s fashion prowess. Again: killing it.

Hot damn, Ellen and Portia are a beautiful couple, aren’t they? My favorite thing about them is that every time they’re together, they both just light up–they wear their adoration for each other on their sleeve and I really admire that. OK, enough fangirl-ing about their relationship, let’s talk about their outfits! For the “Arrested Development” premiere red carpet (side note: OH MY GOD I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING), Ellen chose a sleek gray suit while Portia vamped it up in a tight black dress and a funky pompadour. It seems like heavy, chunky scarves are kind of a year round accessory in Los Angeles. Here’s Ms. Selena Gomez in a scarf, sandals and boyfriend jeans, on her way to the gym.
