“Planking” Is Over—It’s All About “Cone-ing” Now

Just in time for summer, a hot weather-friendly viral fad called “cone-ing” is sweeping the interwebs. Phew, this means we can all stop “planking”. Simply put, cone-ing, invented by Australian comedian Alki Stevens, is the act of grabbing a soft serve ice cream cone upside down thus creating the most awkward situation possible. Very awkward indeed, but sadly, a terrible waste of ice cream. My inner former fat kid is crying. [Cone-ing] Keep reading »

A Really Creepy Way To Eat Your Hot Dog

I already dislike hot dogs, but the Happy Hot Dog Man brings my distaste to a whole new level. These kind of antics are fine for Play-Doh, but not for wieners. I do not want my hot dog to have arms, legs, eyes, the ability to dance, or wear outfits. I have serious concerns about the child (or adult) who complains that the standard hot dog is “not fun enough to eat.” [The Daily What] Keep reading »

A Father/Daughter Wedding Dance On Another Level

Brooke Lavin apparently had a very luxe wedding. Complete with a choreographed wedding dance with her pops, Bill, and a videographer who did some awesome editing of it. The best part here is when Brooke and her dad do the MC Hammer. Oh, and when they take air shots together. Hey, they’ve got moves. [Buzzfeed] Keep reading »

Bert Gets Down To Brass Tacks With Andy Samberg

Who knew that Bert, as in the best friend of Ernie, was such a hard-hitting interviewer? In this edition of “Conversations with Bert,” his version of “Inside the Actors Studio,” the yellow guy talks to Andy Samberg of “Saturday Night Live.” While Bert missed the obvious question of asking about his threeway with Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga, he did ask how Andy feels about socks. “From my perspective, anyone who has a problem with socks needs to grow up. It’s been a long time coming. Socks are here to stay, and people who are anti-sock, to me, it’s immature, it’s short sighted — short minded,” replied Andy. To which Ernie added: “One day I’m hoping every sock will meet its match.” The rest of the interview is equally as amusing. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »

“True Blood” Season 4: The “Post-Russell Edgerton World”

True Blood” season four is headed our way and in this new preview, we get a better look at life in the “post-Russell Edgerton” world. Just a few of the tidbits the preview gives us: Eric shooting an “all vampires are different” public service announcement, Jason being tied up by his shape-shifting girlfriend, and Lafayette taking part in some kind of witch ritual. Oh, and Bill finally got a hair cut! Man, I have a feeling this season is going to be killer. [PopWrap] Keep reading »

Will Prince Charles Breakdance At The Royal Wedding?

Wondering what hot moves Prince Charles will be breaking out on the dance floor at Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s wedding tomorrow? We can only hope that he resurrects some that he busted in this video from the ’80s. Maybe if he changed out of his suit and into Adidas track gear, he’d be able to do a Windmill? Keep reading »

Justin Bieber Accidentally Lights Mom’s Hair On Fire

Earlier this week, Justin Bieber brought his mom, Pattie Mallette—yes the same one Playboy was desperate to get for a spread—on stage during a show in Berlin. It was her birthday and The Bieb had gotten her a cake. He had the audience sing “Happy Birthday” to her as she blew out the candles. Only, her hair blew into the flames. In this video, it doesn’t look like much, but as Justin tweeted later, “Sick show in Berlin … brought @studiomama on stage 2 sing her happy bday but she lit her hair on fire with the candles. lol. i saved her. Don’t worry it wasnt bad.” The smell, on the other hand, probably was. [Radar Online] Keep reading »

Sarah Silverman Is In Love With A Unicorn

Sarah Silverman has found her angel—well, at least her unicorn. In this video, she blissfully smooches and goes on dates with the Serenading Unicorn, until she sees an incriminating text. It takes a mix tape and a pack of gum for the two to tearfully reunite in a passionate makeout session. Sure, this may technically be an ad for Juicy Fruit—which is so, so delicious until it inevitably loses its flavor—but it’s still pretty awesome. [WonderWall] Keep reading »

Lady Gaga Does “Born This Way” With A Mariachi Band

Yesterday was Lady Gaga‘s 25th birthday, and she Tweeted in the morning, “I woke up to chicken and waffles in bed, pink tulips, + little monster bday videos. I love you! I was #bornthisday.” Later in the night, her friends threw her a surprise party at a Mexican restaurant. Apparently, Gaga spent an awful lot of time communing with the restaurant’s mariachi band. “She was onstage for most of the night performing for all her friends,” a source said. “No one knew she was going to go up there and perform with them. I think she just loves to be on stage.” One notable moment—this mariachi version of “Born This Way.” Honestly, I still think the song is kind boring, in addition to sounding a lot like “Express Yourself,” but the mariachi instruments do really add something. Ain’t Nothin’ But A “Glee” Thang, Baby

Heather Morris, Matthew Morrison, Naya Rivera, Cory Monteith, and several other familiar “Glee” faces teamed up for this Funny or Die spoof, “Ain’t Nothin’ But A ‘Glee’ Thang.” It’s reasonably funny, though I think it would have packed a lot more punch if Dr. Dre or Snoop Dogg had made an appearance (hey, Snoop did the “Oh Sookie” video), or if the teens in the intro were sipping on gin and juice. That said, I do like the bit where Sofia Vergara gushes about Jane Lynch, which sure feels like a make good for the time her “Modern Family” co-star said Jane didn’t deserve her Emmy. And I also appreciated the random diss on AT&T in here. True dat. Keep reading »
