Latoya Jackson Prefers Tigers To House Cats

Latoya Jackson has a serious phobia of house cats. She fears that one will turn on her suddenly. But tigers, cougars, peacocks, giraffes and llamas—those are no biggie. I don’t want to be around any of the aforementioned animals—dogs are the only creatures I can deal with—but if I had to choose between a tiger and a house cat, it would be a no brainer. Cat it is! What did she see as a child that scarred her forever? Wait. Maybe I don’t want to know. The Jacksons work in mysterious ways. [NY Mag] Keep reading »

Justin Timberlake Gets His Own Invitation To The Marine Corps Ball

Looks like Mila Kunis will be able to double date with Justin Timberlake when she goes to the Marine Corps Ball in November. Cpl. Kelsey De Santi has asked JT to attend the ball with her, much like Sgt. Scott Moore did for Mila. And Kelsey looks like she’s pretty cute! I say go for it, Justin. As Kelsey puts it, “And if you can’t go, all I’ve gotta say is: ‘Cry me a river.’ Hit me up.” [NY Daily News] Keep reading »

It’s Tami Taylor, Y’all

I’ve been in denial about the end of “Friday Night Lights.” With Connie Britton’s Emmy nom and this video compilation all of Tami Taylor’s y’alls, I suppose I can begin the grieving process. I won’t forget you Tami. You are an amazing wife and mother and all-around human being whose graciousness I shall only dream of attaining. Plus, her hair always looks so good. The Life Of A Firework, Caught On Camera

Last night, I was thoroughly entranced by the fireworks lighting up the night sky over New York’s Hudson river. So I was kind of excited to come across this video this morning that shows what the world looks like from a firework’s perspective. To make this clip, 19-year-old videographer Jeremiah Warren strapped an itty-bitty camera to several fireworks he shot in the air. The result made me happy. Also, dizzy. Did you watch fireworks last night? [Newser] Keep reading »

Sneezing Baby Panda: The Movie?

At this point in life, we are all as similar with this awesome YouTube clip of a baby panda sneezing as we are with our own reflections in the mirror. But apparently, we are about to see the Sneeze Heard Around The World in a totally new light—on the big screen. Lesley Hammond and Jenny Walsh, the documentarians who captured the moment in the first place, are hard at work on a mockumentary called “The Life and Times of Sneezing Baby Panda.” The flick will follow a faux Australian zoologist as she heads to China to try to save the adorable baby panda in the video. While they’ve yet to cast the zoologist, they are scheduled to begin shooting in October. What do you think? Would you spend $12 to go see this in theaters? Or would you rather watch the 16-second viral video clip on repeat for an hour and a half? [NY Daily News] Keep reading »

The Cattiest Place On Earth: Camp Bravo

Bravo shows are kind of like the beach reads of television programming. So I like that for the past few summers, the channel has gathered its stars and made a big promo featuring all of them. This year Andy Cohen, Bethenny Frankel, et al pack up and head to Camp Bravo, where Patti Stanger drops Jill Zarin in a trust fall exercise and Teresa Giudice shoots an apple off Kyle Richards’ head. Fun! Keep reading »

Happy Friday! Let’s Do The “Lady Bump”

It’s Saturday night and I’m itching to dance! Think I’ll do the “Lady Bump” with blast from the past ’70s German disco star, Penny McLean. Do I even want try to understand what she means by “lady bump”? Nah, I think I’ll just enjoy the shrieking and the disco-tastic dance moves. It’s impossible not to feel her joy. Happy weekend! Would The Real Charlie Sheen Please Step Forward?

This realistic Charlie Sheen mask took top honors at Maskfest 2011. Now you too can put on this Hyperflesh masterpiece and win at life — well, for a cool $2,500. This is truly frightening. As a sidenote, I really enjoyed the original song, “I’m Gonna Be A Winner,” by Precious Jade Teo. [ONTD] Keep reading »

The Muppets Take “The Green Lantern”

I’m having a hard time staying patient while waiting for the new Muppet movie, which won’t be in theaters until Thanksgiving. So I’m happy that Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and crew have taken to making parodies of the big movies of summer 2011. In this brand new one, the Muppets do “The Green Lantern.” I love the line, “If I didn’t know better, I’d say you were reciting some sort of important plot point.” [Huffington Post]

After the jump, more Muppet movie parodies. Keep reading »
