This Is Their First Kiss

We’ve all had those awful first kisses that make us want to sterilize our mouths and swear off human intimacy for a long while. But, for the most part, kissing is one of those activities that is beautiful and intimate by nature, even if you barely know the person you’re snogging. In “First Kiss” a short film directed by Tatia Pillieva, we get to play fly on the wall for 20 complete strangers’ first kisses.

The preceding interchanges are incredibly awkward, as is to be expected, but once the couples get over the weirdness and lock lips, Whoa. The kisses range from really sweet and intimate to sexy and passionate. It’s just like real life, only without the cocktails and conversation part. Who ever thought watching strangers kiss could be so life affirming? [Digg]

Update: As much as we wanted to believe these were strangers kissing because their hearts yearned to connect, it’s actually an advertisement for Wren’s Fall 2014 clothing line. And many of those beautiful smoochers are professional actors and models. Womp, womp. [Slate]

Nothing Says Romance Like 365 Penis Pics

Nothing Says Romance Like 365 Penis Pics
365 Days Of Penis Art!

In February 2013, when his wife bought a white board, one loving husband committed to christening it daily with drawings of penises. Faithfully, YouTube user 365DaysOfPenises kept his word and shared his artistic vision with the world in the form of a video. He even left a note to his wife: “The real challenge would have been doing this for TWO years.…”

Behold his expertly drawn: dickhawks, dicktopuses, dicktosaurs, dicktopillars, dicktocorns, dick dogs, Dickta Lisa, Dickty Sky, Girl With The Dick Earring, a Dicknorah, the Dicklympics and much, much more. Things got really abstract after the first six months. Seriously, I felt like I saw pop culture through the lens of the penis. This guy is a true Dicasso. [Geekosystem]

Watch Olympic Figure Skater Jason Brown Fart His Way To A Bronze Medal

Olympic Flatulence
Watch Olympic Figure Skater Jason Brown Fart His Way To A Bronze Medal
Let It Out, Jason!

It’s hard to boycott the Olympics when the flatulence coverage is so riveting. Figure skater Jason Brown helped the United States win a bronze medal in Sochi, so you know what amazing feats he can accomplish with his body. But you might not have known what he can do with his butt. The geniuses over at Ghost + Cow films did us the favor of dubbing farts over Jason Brown’s performance — as well as some other athletes competing in in the 2014 Winter Olympics. Such nonsense, yet so undeniably excellent. It’s right up there with the Evgeni Plushenko/Ginuwine mashup. [College Humor]

The Daily Squee: Watch A Poodle Protect His Baby Sister From The Evil Blow Dryer

The Daily Squee: Watch A Poodle Protect His Baby Sister From The Evil Blow Dryer
Blow Dryers Are Scary

I would have enjoyed this video if it were just a poodle and the baby. That’s enough squeeness for me. But add a blow dryer to the mix and you’ve got all sorts of excitement, like fluff blowing in the wind and a poodle’s protective instincts kicking in. [Daily Picks & Flicks]

Watch Benedict Cumberbatch Solve His Most Adorable Mystery Yet On “Sesame Street”

Benedict Cumberbatch On Sesame Street
"I'm Not Actually Sherlock, I Just Play Him On TV."

In his titular role on BBC’s “Sherlock,” Benedict Cumberbatch has solved gruesome murders and thwarted terrorist attacks, but in an appearance on “Sesame Street,” he was faced with his … fruitiest mystery ever. Can Benedict Counterbatch determine how many apples and oranges are on the table? You’ll have to push play to find out. Also, is it just me or are Benedict’s cheekbones looking even more stunning than usual? He can count my apples anytime (I don’t really know what that means, but you get the idea). [YouTube]

Watch Jackson Weep To The Music

Four-year-old Jackson is a sensitive guy in the making. Just watch as he has a moment with A Great Big World song “Say Something” featuring Christina Aguilera. It’s so moving that he just can’t stop himself from weeping in his car seat. We’ve all been there.

But what’s so precious about this little guy with so many feelings is that he knows the difference between a good cry and a bad cry, as evidenced by his two-thumbs up to dad. Ballads hurt so good, Jackson. They hurt so good. [Daily Picks & Flicks]

This Real Life Interpretation Of A Conference Call Is Hilariously, Awkwardly Accurate

conference-call
BEEEEP ... "We Lost Tyler Again"

Anybody who’s ever been on a conference call knows that a few things are always to be expected:

  1. Awkward conversation between the first two participants until others join.
  2. Two people starting to speak at once, both insisting the other continue.
  3. One person who keeps getting disconnected, and *beep* “It’s me again, sorry about that.” And so on…

Well, YouTube geniuses Tripp and Tyler have turned all of the awkward interactions on a conference call into a reality that’s so accurate and hilarious, it makes me want to call a meeting with our LA team just to see who I would “be” in this scenario. Watch the video above and then share this with every person you know. Maybe you should announce it via conference call … just a thought.
