A Choose Your Own Adventure “Eclipse” Game

I used to be a big fan of choose-your-own-adventure books, and I also used to be a big cheat. Meaning that when it came to picking my literary destiny, I would read the outcome of all the options, and pick the one that didn’t involve my scuba tank running out of air. But because it’s online, this new “Eclipse” 8-bit video game doesn’t allow me that luxury. And don’t expect your “Twilight” knowledge to get you through to a happy ending, either. The video game world is about to get a whole lot raunchier. It was enough to be inundated with ‘bloid news of Tiger Woods’ army of mistresses, but a new video game will allow you to live his sexcapades, virtually. Get ready to find out what it’s like to be in Tiger’s plaid pants in a new raunchy video game called “Tiger Woods Affair Tour 2010” from the creators of “Grand Theft Auto.” Players follow Tiger on the green, in nightclubs, and on to many a hotel room bed. (I’m sure.) The point of the game? For players to get laid as often as possible and earn additional lives based on the number of orgasms they give and receive. You probably get bonus points for Ambien sex or sexting as well. Does this sound way wrong to anyone else? If I were Tiger, I’d be cruising for a lawsuit. But maybe I’m overreacting. Finally, two women have found a way to prove video games are for virgins. After their bosses thought their idea was too risqué, Heather Kelley and Erin Robinson struck out on their own and developed “Our First Times,” a multi-level video game where the player prepares for their first night of fornication. From shaving your legs to avoiding garlic at dinner, the game also isn’t afraid to go there and get players to use condoms. The triumvirate of teen queen movies: Pretty In Pink, Mean Girls, and Clueless — are all getting remade into Broadway musicals. Sike! Although we’re sure some of the score will be watered down into electronic bleeps, they’re actually turning the dramas into full on games. Paramount Pictures, who owns all the movies, is creating digital downloads and low-cost “casual” ones for consoles like Wii, Playstation, and eventually Nintendo DS.
