Vena Cava is bringing their artsy cool aesthetic to Bloomingdale’s Aqua brand this fall. Given Aqua’s affordable price point, the Vena Cava collaboration is expected to be even less expensive than the brand’s already-existent diffusion line, Viva Vena. We hope — and expect — that it will be just as cute, though! [The Cut] Keep reading »

The Inside Scoop On Vena Cava

We were backstage at Vena Cava‘s spring 2010 show today and you can’t tell from this Teen Vogue video but the scene was downright exciting since the show kicked off MAC & Milk’s new partnership. (If you hadn’t heard, MAC, which used to sponsor makeup at the Bryant Park tents, decided to go rogue-ish and strike up a deal with Milk Studios — which is where anybody who’s anybody in NYC fashion shoots their magazine editorials and advertising campaigns.) Crave: Gap Designer Editions Vena Cava Khaki Zip Dress

Every year, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists re-interpret a classic for Gap. The last couple years, they rethought white shirts. This year, it’s khaki that’s getting a makeover. Our favorite from the collection — though we’d wear them all — is design duo Vena Cava’s khaki zip dress. This certainly ain’t your mama’s chino. [$88, Gap] Keep reading »
