Grrrrrowwwwl. Gents, there’s a new cougar in town, so get out your dart guns and your hunks of raw meat. Yeah, I’m not sure what that means either. But Tyra Banks reportedly has a new man, and he’s 14 years younger than she is. The supermogul has generally been known to date men her own age or older, so she just earned her cougar markings. Her new man is boxer-turned-model Robert Evans, who is 24 and a new judge on America’s Next Top Cou — I mean, Model.
I’m totally behind the whole “cougar” thing (ya, I know, no one likes this word). But it’s getting kind of cliché now. Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Mira Sorvino. Plus, a lot of our fave cou-couples have broken up: Demi and Ashton. Katie Couric and Brooks Perlin. Maybe it’s time for the dating pendulum to swing the other way, back towards older guys. Even Kim Cattrall thinks so. She’s dating a guy five years OLDER!
Here are some reasons gals might want to toss their boy toys and get with an older guy.
The daughter factor. After Demi and Ashton broke up, people were actually speculating that maybe Demi’s daughter, Rumer, was dating her to-be-former step-dad, Ashton. And no one cared! Read more …
There’s been a lot of shake ups in Tyra Banks’ “Top Model” world of late. As she struggles to make “ANTM” relevant and engaging in its zillionth “cycle,” Ty-Ty decided to mix up the judging panel by getting rid of judging mainstay (“Noted Fashion Photographer”) Nigel Barker and model coach/shoot producer Jay Manuel (that’s Mr. Jay, if you’re confused). Tyra has kept Kelly Cutrone (who started last season) and recently plucked up model Rob Evans. And her latest hire? Blogger and fashion week regular Bryanboy.
After the jump, five things you should know about the new face on “ANTM”‘s judging panel.

Tyra Banks shocked everyone when she fired Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and Jay Alexander from”America’s Next Top Model” — but now, she’s picked her replacements.
While they’re not exactly Britney Spears-level names, The CW has confirmed fashion publicist-turned-reality star Kelly Cutrone, male model Rob Evans and stylist Johnny Wujek will be joining the show. Read more …
Tyra Banks showed up to the Moth Gala earlier this week in a face full of makeup. Supermodels like her are used to wearing extreme looks for photoshoots, but this was definitely a risque — even comical look. Tyra has admitted on ”America’s Next Top Model,” that her face can handle a lot of makeup, but what do you think? Do you prefer Tyra all made up, or with more minimal makeup? Vote on her, Heidi Klum, Elle Macpherson, and more flashy versus fresh looks here!
Apparently the contestants on ”America’s Next Top Model” aren’t the only ones in need of a makeover. The world was shocked last week when Tyra Banks suddenly fired her team consisting of Nigel Barker, Miss J. Alexander and Jay Manuel … and now we know why.
“We reached a point, where were feel the show needs a new boost,” Tyra told Access Hollywood at the 2012 Matrix Awards in New York City on Monday. “It’s very difficult because I love my guys, they’re my guys,” she added. “They’ve been there since the beginning of the show.” Read more…
I guess Tyra Banks is aware that she’s grasping at straws on this season of “America’s Next Top Model.” You know when you do a segment called “Tooch Teach” that it’s time to change stuff up. After 19 Cycles of almost exactly the same thing, Tyra has decided to clean house for the next season of the show. Yesterday, J. Alexander, Jay Manuel and Nigel Barker were dismissed from the “Top Model” family to make way for “major changes planned for [the next season].” PR mogul Kelly Cutrone was the only judge to survive the blood bath. But that could be because Tyra’s scared of her. I know I am. Keep reading »
This season of “America’s Next Top Model” has been particularly dull. The UK vs. US premise seems secondary to Tyra’s shameless attempts to promote her Modelland books. Last night, Tyra achieved an unprecedented level of ridiculousness with her “booty tooch teach.” She had special “booty tooch” hot shorts and “training tooches” (ass pads) for all the contestants to wear. But things weren’t all tranquil in Toochland. American model hopeful AzMarie refused to wear her training tooch because she felt it would take away from her androgyny. Oh, and because she’s a “grown ass woman.” She had a point, but she paid dearly for crossing Tyra and was dismissed from the tooch teach. Her loss. Because it was very informative. Whether you’re an aspiring Intoxibella, or just a regular woman in need of a tooching lesson, click through to see all do’s and don’ts.
For the next season of “America’s Next Top Model,” host Tyra Banks is hoping to incite an age-old rivalry between the Brits and Americans. She’s bringing some of her past British “Top Model” contestants over to go up against a crop of seven new model babies in “ANTM: British Invasion.” One’s already doing the “booty tooch.” The gimmicks never stop with this one. “When I did my show, created my show or whatever, I also created a persona on ‘Top Model.’ And it’s a character … So, when I’m sitting there and I have all this make-up on, and I’m like, ‘Your picture’s not fierce…’ talking all that and reprimanding the girls, that is a character … I don’t do that, like, in real life; I’m passive aggressive. I’m anti-confrontational; I’m even in coaching to learn how to be confrontational. It’s a character, but people think it’s real. I’m so not sexy. I know how to turn it on for a picture, but I’m not sexy in real life.”
– Tyra Banks on her “ANTM” alter ego. I wonder if she calls her alter ego Tookie. I wonder if she looks in her mirror each morning and whispers, “I am Tookie” to her reflection. I want to believe this so badly — that Tyra is really humble and meek and not the egomaniac she comes off as. Really I do. [Clutch Mag]
