Kim Kardashian Guest Stars As Kim Kardashian On “2 Broke Girls”

Kim Kardashian starred as, well, herself on “2 Broke Girls” last night. Apparently she doesn’t get enough practice playing herself all the livelong day (and/or in front of the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” camera crew). Kim shows up to apologize to the (broke) girls for not filming her show at their cupcake shop. Because Kim knows “how hard us girls really work to keep our businesses going,” she promises to tweet about their company and leaves a hefty tip before hopping back into her Escalade to ride off into the sunset. Playing Kim is a tough job, but someone’s got to do it! [Jezebel]

“I remember my agent at ICM at the beginning of my career telling me that I wasn’t pretty enough, that I was always going to be a quirky sidekick. And he was an ogre of a man. He should have been carrying a torch. If he was in a bar, he couldn’t have come near me, and then he was deciding my fate.”

Whitney Cummings in New York magazine on an ex-agent telling her she wasn’t pretty enough to play anything other than Zooey Deschanel roles. And now Zooey has her own show, and so does Whitney, so who has egg on their face now, ogre-agent man? Ironically, Whitney Cummings gets a lot (a lot) of flack for ‘only being successful because she’s hot.’ So what is it: too hot or not hot enough? (Neither! You can’t win!)

After the jump, another quote from Whitney about criticisms that she and her characters on “Whitney” (on which she stars) and “Two Broke Girls” (which she created) are not “good for women.” Keep reading »

This fall the strangest thing started happening to me. I’d be walking down the street, and person after person after person (mostly women) would be staring at my face.

The first couple times I assumed what anyone would assume: I had food in my teeth or my lipstick on my face or a booger hanging out of my nose. But then, the first, second, third time, I looked in the mirror, I didn’t.

The stares continued. So many women, day after day. I wanted to stop them and ask, “Why?” There was no way this many strangers were suddenly interested in my face. It was the same face I’d always had.

Then one day, one of my gawkers whispered to her friend, “It’s Kat Dennings!” Keep reading »
