The CW has gone guest-star crazy! On last night’s episode of “Gossip Girl,” Hilary Duff and Tyra Banks both had major roles, and socialite/designer Tory Burch popped up in a cameo, as did Georgina Chapman, the designer for Marchesa. Hilary is Dan’s new love interest; she plays actress Olivia Burke who enrolls at NYU and becomes Vanessa’s roommate. She was reasonably decent, but since she’s sticking around for a few episodes, we certainly hope that they’ll upgrade her wardrobe from that ill-fitting t-shirt she donned for most of last night’s episode. We certainly don’t watch “Gossip Girl” for tees! The real story, however, was Tyra. Keep reading »
Jon Gosselin just got served — and not by soon-to-be ex-wife Kate! The reality TV dad spent the weekend reportedly ransacking the couple’s joint bank account (he allegedly took $200,000, leaving Kate and the kids with a mere $1,000), and on Monday he brought his sideshow to “The Insider.” But he met his match in Nancy Grace because the “HLN” host would have none of it. Watch the video above as she rips him a new one, calling him out for his egotism and his dalliances with younger women. Keep reading »
Last night Jennifer Garner appeared on “The Jay Leno Show” to promote her film “The Invention of Lying.” Or so she hoped. Before Jay would let her talk about the movie, Jennifer had to recite the Boston Red Sox’s starting lineup (since husband Ben Affleck is such a huge fan).
Jennifer was able to name the players with no problem, even adding commentary like, “he looks like George Clooney” and “he’s been having a great year, by the way.” Pretty impressive, Jen!
This got us to wondering just how many of you take on your boyfriend’s hobbies or become fans of the sports teams he likes. Has your boyfriend’s obsessive checking of scores rubbed off on you so much that you’ve become a fan yourself? Keep reading »
Kim Zolciak‘s song “Don’t Be Tardy for the Party,” which was recorded during an episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” has been removed from iTunes because producer Don Vito still owns the copyright to the song and hasn’t been paid yet for Kim’s studio time. The song was number three on iTunes for four days last week, according to a source who spoke with E! Online. Kim’s rep had no comment, but Don Vito (he doesn’t have one of those first names that sounds right without the last name) only had pleasant things to say about Kim (unlike that other producer Dallas Austin): “I think [Kim] is a good person and it was fun working in the studio with her. We made a great record and I look forward to working with her on the album again.” [E! Online] Keep reading »
Speaking of politician butts, did you ever want to see Tom Delay shake his? Well, your dreams have finally come true. On last night’s premiere of “Dancing with the Stars,” the men of the competition showed their moves. Aaron Carter was clearly the best, but we think that’s cheating since he’s under the age of 50 and has a boy band background. UFC fighter Chuck Lidell took the award for Awkwardest Expression Whilst Salsaing. But it was Delay who stole our hearts with his performance of “Wild Thing,” thanks to his lip syncing, knee sliding, and just generally making everything groovy. Check it out, above. Tonight, the women perform. Go Melissa Joan Hart! Keep reading »
I have a new favorite genre of daytime television—stars going on talk shows, getting down and dirty about the details of their drug addictions. If you still haven’t seen Oprah’s interview with Whitney Houston last week, please watch now. But today’s contribution to the cannon, Kelly Osbourne on “Ellen” talking about her addiction years, is precious too: “I was so ashamed of myself, I didn’t want to tell my parents,” she said. “My mom was in a relationship with my father for years trying to get him sober and I didn’t want to tell her that now her daughter, too … I was a full-blown addict by the time we started ‘The Osbournes.’ It was a time when I was suddenly famous, my mom had breast cancer, and my dad almost died in a bike accident. It was a lot for me to handle, and I didn’t handle it very well.” Keep reading »
Amy Poehler visits “Inside the Actor’s Studio” tonight at 7 p.m. On the show, James Lipton gets Amy to do her Paula Abdul impression. Her imitation of the ex-”American Idol” judge is exactly like Paula’s real-life wacky and nonsensical way of talking, and we’re pretty sure there weren’t any muscle relaxers involved. Check it out in the above video, starting about one minute in. Keep reading »
Meet Vecente. He was a guest on “The Tyra Show” for the judgment day episode and said some really hateful and hurtful things about another guest because the guest has dark skin. As you can see from the video above, Vecente makes some statements that are really infuriating, but he reportedly claims the show’s producers and Tyra told him what kind of character he was supposed to portray. He also says the talk show is scripted. Vecente says his racist, politically incorrect statements were only for television purposes. [Media Takeout]
He could be lying as a result of the backlash he’s received since his appearance aired, but I’m pretty sure I’ve caught “The Tyra Show” using an actor as a guest at least once. I watched an episode from the first season, I believe, in which this guy who Tyra said was a lawyer in real life was supposed to pretend to be a stalker so a woman could learn not to trust men she meets just because they look wealthy. A few hours after the episode ended, I saw the same guy in a commercial for something that slips my mind. He was an actor and the commercial continued to air after that episode. Keep reading »
Last night, in his continuing quest to become the lord of primetime, Jay Leno invited Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz to be the first to participate in his new segment “10@10,” where celebrities have to answer 10 personal questions honestly. Yeah, I’m totally buying that they don’t know the questions beforehand. Anyhoo … Cameron was naturally charming and normal. Her shocking revelation? She secretly loves “The Real Housewives.” Join the club, Cam. In case you were wondering, Tom Cruise is still weird. He claims that sex with him is like flying. Is he nudging us gently toward the great truth that Scientologists have sex with aliens while flying on their spacecrafts? At least that would explain his special brand of insanity. Also, he’s also never been to a strip club. But who needs strippers when you are “flying” with hot aliens? Keep reading »
