Turkish Woman Shoots, Decapitates Her Rapist

Today's Lady News photo
  • Well, that’s a lot to process: a pregnant rape victim shot and decapitated her rapist and then dumped his head in the town square, telling police who arrested her, “That is the head of the one who toyed with my honor.” The rapist also allegedly possessed nude photos of the 26-year-old mother of two, which he was threatening to show to her parents in an attempt to humiliate her family. She is quoted in the UK’s Daily Mail explaining: “He kept saying that he would tell everyone about the rape. My daughter will start school this year. Everyone would have insulted my children. Now no one can. I saved my honour.  They will now call children the kids of the women who saved her honor.” On the one hand I honestly could care less about what sort of punishments befall rapists; I’m of the opinion they should rot in prison the rest of their lives. But on the other hand, it’s absolutely tragic that this woman was motivated to murder by reclaiming her “honor.” How terribly sad that this woman felt tarnished as a human being. When Turkeys Attack

Watch Video

If you thought turkeys were adorable, think again. Watch what happens when a news producer tries to get footage of a belligerent bird who is terrorizing a Sacramento neighborhood. This is way scarier than “The Blair Witch Project” as far as I’m concerned. Horror movie material, for sure. But good to know that should you find yourself face to face with a turkey out for blood, the way to save your life is ambush it with a mail truck. The USPS is scary too. [Dlisted]

Are You A Turkey-Loving Sugar Addict? Try the TurDunkin’!

I’ve often contemplated the best way of combining my love of turkey with my love of donuts. And finally! Some industrious genius has done just that — with the TurDunkin’, a combo Thanksgiving turkey and sweet donut treat. The turkey is stuffed with bacon and Munchkins stuffing and then basted with donut glaze. It’s then coated in donut sprinkles and served alongside coffee gravy and mashed hash browns (to get the full breakfast turkey effect). We’re really thinking we might have to try this at our next Thanksgiving dinner. [Unwholesome Foods] Keep reading »

Gobble, Gobble, Slurrrr: Yes, Vodka-Infused Turkey Exists

Some prefer their turkey day drunkenness to transpire on the couch with a dozen relatives and a football game. Others prefer their alcohol shot directly in the bird. Georgi Vodka and several New York City restaurants have infused a turkey with five different types of vodka and prepared a 100-proof vodka gravy to serve on the side. The flavors of peach, cherry, orange, lemon and apple vodka render this recipe slightly less disgusting, but not by much. Keep reading »

Woman Is Shocked To Discover Her Thanksgiving Turkey Is Pregnant

This woman is happy carving the Thanksgiving turkey … until she discovers what she thinks is a cooked fetus inside her bird. “You got a pregnant turkey!” a family member cries. Just kidding! Her husband just stuffed a Cornish game hen inside the turkey before putting it in the oven to cook. Thanksgiving pranks are the best! Keep reading »

Police Rescue 9 Women From A Sleazy “Big Brother” Scam In Turkey

Sexy young ladies in bikinis fighting with each other and dancing by a pool—sounds like every reality show, doesn’t it? But for nine women in Turkey, the promise of appearing on a “Big Brother”-style reality show for a Turkish TV station turned out to be a trap. Police said two months ago, nine young women, between the ages of 16 and 24, responded to an ad for reality show contestants by going to a villa in the town of Riva thinking they’d be filmed for the program. But after signing a contract that banned the women from any outside contact, which threatened a $33,000 fine if they left the “filming” sooner than two months, the women realized they’d been duped by predators. Scar-y.

Meanwhile, the women’s family members also thought the no-contact rule was fishy, so they alerted the police. When cops charged into the villa, they learned four people who kept them trapped allegedly have sold naked pics of the women on the internet. So creepy. It’s unbelievable that some sick individuals would prey on women like that. (Not that the fact that some people want to get famous by wearing bathing suits and cat fighting isn’t disconcerting, too.)
