Nope, not quite done talking about Kanye’s Big Day Out yet! One of the other notable quotes that came out of Kanye’s mouth yesterday, beyond all the gushing he did about Kim Kardashian, was when he, while telling Angie Martinez why he was dropping Nike and starting a partnership with Adidas, explained his intension to become “the Tupac of product.” (This is something he also said a few weeks ago, in an interview with Los Angeles’ Power 106, so it seems to be a somewhat pre-planned talking point for the ambitious rapper/producer/designer/whatever.) This grandiose aspiration inspired Twitter users @YoungSinick and @JamilahLemieux to start the hashtag #KanyeJobTitles, featuring similar over-the-top comparisons. Rihanna, girl. I loved Tupac too. RIP! “Me & My Girlfriend” is one of my favorite songs. Such a brilliant metaphor, his girlfriend being his gun. But I choose to remember him in ways that don’t include getting “THUG LIFE” tattooed in white ink on my knuckles. I wish you could have done the same, as your new tat looks like dried, blistered skin. More like FUG LIFE if you ask me. (Side note: I do enjoy the hilarious juxtaposition of the THUG LIFE knuckle tattoos and the John Lennon T-shirt, though.) [ICYDK]
Celebrity sex tapes are so common, we barely even bat an eyelash at our favorite stars getting down on film. Once you’ve seen Eric Dane, Rebecca Gayheart, and Kari Anne Peniche sitting in a jacuzzi together, you’ve seen them all. But things are a little different if a celebrity has passed on. Are you sitting down? A 1991 video of Tupac receiving oral at a house party full of groupies is about to hit the market. Allegedly he is also rapping along to his own music, dancing, drinking a cocktail, smoking a blunt, and holding down a convo with the dude from Digital Underground all while getting blown. Please, try not to get too excited. [TMZ]
