Do You Dare Take A Taste Of These “True Blood” Spoilers?

It seems like only a few days ago, I was here moaning about wanting “True Blood” to start and how I was dying for some Eric and Sookie action. Now, we’ve already sucked down four episodes and I am stuck with a bunch of dream sequence teases of my favorite vamp and Sookie getting steamy. A whole lot has happened so far this season, and it doesn’t look like the excitement is about to let up. HBO recently released the episode descriptions for August and they are gushing with goodness, plus a few characters we haven’t met yet. So—SPOILER ALERT!—we’ve snatched up five of the most shocking things that are about to go down in Bon Temps. Keep reading »

The New Way To Say “I Heart You” — With Bite Marks?

Remember in high school when you’d get a hickey and proudly show it off the next day at school? Oh wait, you didn’t do that—you were too busy covering that thing up with a turtleneck even if it was 100 degrees out. Well, let’s just say that today’s teenagers are obviously devolving (remember how they’re getting high off on morning glory seeds?) and are way more into making their personal life public than we were. They’re also obsessed with vampires and vampiric love stories, thanks to “Twilight,” “True Blood,” “The Vampire Diaries,” etc. So it was only a matter of time before giving your makeout partner bite marks became the new hickey. Yep, that’s right. Teens are biting each other—hard—on the arms, neck, and even face to show their affection. According to a CNN intern, “High schoolers say it’s a way to show someone you care about them and that you are chosen—just like in the movies. Bite marks have now even started to be a status symbol.”

So what do you think—are bite marks hot or … ouch? [CNN] Keep reading »

Quotable: Alexander Skarsgard Finds Nudity “Liberating”

“I’m not a prude. I’m from Sweden, and it’s different there. If it makes sense, I’ll do nudity, and it’s made sense every single time I’m naked on the show. And I love to be naked. It’s kind of liberating.”

Alexander Skarsgard on playing the not-nearly-nude-enough vampire Eric on “True Blood.” After a jaw-droppingly hot nude scene in the season premiere, featuring his tight, bare posterior, Eric/Alexander has been disappointingly clothed in the episodes since. Alan Ball, are you listening? The man doesn’t mind being naked. He likes it. The viewers like it too. More please. [PopEater] Keep reading »

Last Night’s “True Blood”: Was The Final Scene Too Violent?

Earlier this month, Entertainment Weekly‘s television know-it-all Michael Ausiello warned us that last night’s episode of “True Blood” contained “the most, ahem, twisted sex scene in television history.” I figured he was being hyperbolic, as we’ve seen some pretty raw sex on the show before. But he was not at all exaggerating. The final scene was definitely one of, if not the most uncomfortable scenes I’ve ever watched. As soon as it ended, I got multiple texts from friends all saying things like, “Nooooooo!” and “True Blood. WTF?” (If you haven’t had a chance to watch yet, stop reading now.) Keep reading »

Shun, Shag, Or Marry: The Men Of “True Blood”

This Sunday night brings us the third episode of THE third season of “True Blood.” And it looks like it’s going to be amazing. Sookie is trying to find Bill, Eric’s trying to get with Sookie, Sam has an angry little brother, Tara has a vampire love interest, werewolves are on the hunt, and Lafayette is … well, awesome. And so, it’s time to Shun, Shag, or Marry the many men of “True Blood.” After the jump, I have conveniently divided them into two camps—the Loves of Sookie and the Loves of Tara.

Ryan Kwanten Is Publishing A Sex Guide

Ryan Kwanten plays Bon Temps’ resident Lothario, Jason Stackhouse, on “True Blood.” But in an instance of life imitating art (or maybe the other way around), Ryan is taking his sex moves from the small screen to print. He’s in the process of finishing a sex guide called The G-Strategy. With a title like that, the book sounds like it’s all about the G-spot or possibly how to get a winning sex game strategy. The guide has already received a stamp of approval from Ryan’s friends, who didn’t know he wrote it when they started adopting his tips. His final draft should go to the publisher in September, and the book is slated for release in 2011. Let’s hope he does a book reading in his Australian accent. [ONTD] Keep reading »

Quotable: “True Blood” Fangs Are A Pain

“To learn how to bite somebody, there should be a school. We should have teeth school. I find Alex [Skarsgard] or Stephen [Moyer], who plays Sookie Stackhouse’s vampire beau Bill Compton, and say, ‘How the heck do I do this? … How do I not lisp?’ He said, you just have to take the pain.’ ‘They’re so big and sharp that they go into your bottom lip.’ He was exactly right. If you try to avoid and find a place to make these comfortable in your mouth, it’ll never happen. You look like evil Bugs Bunny.”

Kristin Bauer, who plays the intriguing and deadly Pam on “True Blood,” explains what it’s like to suddenly have sharp fangs. [People]

Snoop Dogg’s Tribute To “True Blood,” “Oh Sookie”

I was sure that I was the biggest “True Blood” fan ever, but then I saw Snoop Dogg’s tribute video/song to Sookie Stackhouse and I was like, “Bitch, you’ve been dethroned.” “Oh Sookie” proves the rapper has an impressive knowledge of the show, with lyrics like: “Bring a friend/Matter fact, bring your best friend/Tara/I’ve got some real eggs for her to eat”; “We’ll do it in the daytime/Bill won’t know a thing”; “Won’t trick you like Eric/And make you drink blood”; and “Sam ain’t a man/He done turned into a bitch.” Snoop, you have outdone yourself. Quotable: Stephen Moyer On Dating Anna Paquin Long-Distance

“I wish I had bought shares in Skype, because we Skyped every night for three or four hours. I felt as though part of me had been removed when Anna and I were apart. I’ve never been in a relationship before in which, literally within the first three days, all the cards were laid out. I have never trusted anybody like I trust Anna.”

Stephen Moyer brings the romance in a Playboy interview, talking about fiance and “True Blood” co-star Anna Paquin. Swoon! [People] Keep reading »
