“True Blood” Stars Cover Entertainment Weekly

I am so depressed that “Game of Thrones”‘ second season has come to a close, and “Mad Men”‘s finale airs this weekend. Thankfully, “True Blood” starts up again on HBO this Sunday and Entertainment Weekly is honoring the show with 11 bloody covers featuring the cast. Even Pam gets one! [Entertainment Weekly]

Anna Paquin Radiates On The Red Carpet

Premiere Of HBO's "True Blood" 5th Season - After Party

Costars in life and on the small screen, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, rocked the red carpet at the “True Blood” Season 5 premiere in Hollywood, Calif. on Wednesday (May 30). An expectant Paquin, 29, was simply radiant in a Rachel Comey dress, paired with Casadei peep-toes, a Christian Louboutin clutch and Stephen Webster jewels.

“It’s always amazing,” Moyer, 42, who has two children from previous relationships, told Zap2it at last night’s event. “I love my kids so much. And I think that the fact that Anna is pregnant just adds more crazy to the bundle of fun.” Read more…

“Well, we don’t have as many werepanthers on SVU, [but] I smack around [Alexander] Skaarsgard and [Bill] Moyer. I f*ck someone else up, and I have a girlfriend, so that’s fun. It’s been very freeing, except for the fact that I get off the show where I had to wear a coat and tie every day and they put me in a suit and tie every day.”

–Total hottie and fave “Law & Order: SVU” detective Christopher Meloni on his new role on “True Blood.” Smacking around Alexander Skaarsgard and Bill Moyer? A Sars, Mel, Moy sandwich? Now that’s something we’ve gotta see! [New York]

The Good, The Bad & The WTF: The Season Finale Of “True Blood”

Can I just say that, for the record, I think it was kind of tacky of HBO to air the season finale of “True Blood” on 9/11? I’m not trying to say that yesterday should have been devoid of entertainment, but after an emotional day of watching the memorial service and television docs that recalled the violence of 2001, the last thing I was in the mood for was gore. Just sayin’—could HBO not have waited until next week to air the finale? Or at least started the season a week earlier? Feels like such a strange decision.

That said, last night’s episode was one of the best in a long time. After the jump, the good, bad, and WTF moments. Keep reading »

The Good, The Bad & The WTF: A Belated Bite Of “True Blood”

Behold, my thoughts on Sunday night’s “True Blood.” Why so late, you ask? Well, the long weekend got a little wonky on me. Because Sunday night felt like Saturday, I forgot to watch it and next thing I knew it was Monday and I was behind on “Bachelor Pad.” But, last night, I finally caught up with Sookie, Eric and the crew. And overall, I felt a little … let down.

After the jump, the good, the bad, and the WTF moments of this week’s episode. I can’t believe that this Sunday brings the finale. It really feels like this should only be the halfway mark. Keep reading »

Joe Manganiello Says Getting Naked If “Just A Typical Day At The Office”

“It’s not that different from what I do on set on ‘True Blood.’ I wonder if some of the other guys have done it before — taken their clothes off on camera. For me, it’s just a typical day at the office … When I was in college, I did an off-Broadway show where I was full-frontal on stage, so I guess all of these crazy parts have been coming my way for a long time.”

Joe Manganiello talks about his role in the upcoming Channing Tatum flick, “Magic Mike,” in which he plays a male stripper named Big Dick Richie. I have nothing to say except that, for the record, I think Joe looks very nice with clothes on, too. [LA Times] Keep reading »

The Good, The Bad & The WTF: The Witch/Vampire War Escalates On “True Blood”

What the heck? There are only two more episodes left in this season of “True Blood.” This season has really flown by, and yet—I don’t feel nearly as engaged in the plotline as I have in seasons past. Something about Marni/Antonia as the big bad just doesn’t seem that dire to me compared to, say, the mysteriously eerie Marianne of season two. But perhaps that is just me? After the jump, the good, bad, and WTF moments of last night’s episode. And of course, SPOILER ALERT. Keep reading »

The Good, The Bad & The WTF: “True Blood”‘s Revenge Of The Body Snatchers

Last night’s episode of “True Blood” was two-thirds fascinating and one-third filler. The filler part—we finally get the payoff of baby Mikey’s possessed doll plot line. The fascinating parts—well, you’ll have to find out after the jump. So behold, the good, the bad, and the WTF of last night’s episode. And of course, SPOILER ALERT. Keep reading »

A “True Blood” Cookbook?

I know what you’re thinking when you watch “True Blood.” As you watch Eric and Sookie doing it over and over again in the forest, as you witness the bloody gore that occurs after a vampire is staked, as you see that raccoon decomposing in the credits—you’re thinking, Man, I wish there was a cookbook based on this show. I’m starving! Well, your wishes have been answered! Apparently, a “True Blood” cookbook, not endorsed by HBO, will be in bookstores next year. The recipes will be inspired by characters, for exampled “Bill’s Bite Me Biscuits” and “Sookie’s Steamy Crawfish Etoufee.” Which actually does sound good. Here’s hoping this thing will stick to Bloody Marys rather than veering into actual blood territory. What’s next, a cookbook based on “Hoarders”? Shudder. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »

Alexander Skarsgaard Talks About His “True Blood” Snowy Sex Scene

“I loved it. It was so beautiful, they tried to recreate a winter landscape up in northern Sweden, and they did an amazing job. It was really special. It was a lot of fun shooting — and quite complicated with wind machines going and fake snow everywhere. It was very technical and kinda tough, but it really was very special. They spent weeks building it, and we spent a day or two shooting it. I’m excited to see it because being there on the day it looked so good. I hope fans like it.”

Alexander Skarsgaard talks about his sex scene with Anna Paquin in Sunday night’s episode of “True Blood,” in which—since she’s high on his blood—she imagines her room to be snowy forest with a big bed in the middle of it. Don’t worry, Alexander, we liked it. Even if we thought those fur throws were totally cheesy. [Wet Paint]
