Julie Delpy was amazing in “Before Sunrise,” “Two Days In Paris,” and a slew of other movies. She’s so cool and cosmopolitan and French, after all. But jeebus, Julie Delpy, cover your business up a little bit! You are not a Kardashian! You don’t need to be flaunting your chesticles like that!

The Good, The Bad & The Meh: Chanel Artist Dinner

You can count on the Tribeca Film Festival and the events during it to provide a very eclectic crowd and, with that crowd, plenty of fashion fodder. Tuesday night’s turnout for the Chanel Artist Dinner at the glamorous Odeon was distinctly fashion-based, attracting designers, socialites, and — my absolute favorite — some of the modeling industry’s most illustrious names (and Kimye, but let’s forget about that). As one might anticipate, this gathering was almost unprecedentedly well-dressed, so it takes an opinionated eye to separate the best from the rest. Fortunately, I’ve never exactly been known for my neutrality. Here’s my selection of the good, the bad, and the just meh from last night’s event.

In her spare time, Claire Danes is married to Hugh Dancy, so she must be doing something right. Like really, really right. Regardless, I like Claire, even more so as of late, since she’s been out and about doing press for her TV show, “Homeland,” being generally funny and quirky and not at all like your typical Hollywood mouthpiece. She came out Monday night in Tribeca for the premiere of Hysteria, which her husband stars in, and chose a daring Narciso Rodriguez dress for the occasion. I honestly like that Claire isn’t afraid of taking sartorial risks — she almost never goes for basic, safe standbys, instead preferring edgier, more colorful pieces. This is a gorgeous dress any way you look at it but I just don’t know if it’s flattering on her, especially in the chest, where she’s small. What do you think of this dress on Claire: love it or leave it?

The Good, The Bad, & The Totally Meh: More From The Tribeca Film Festival

The Tribeca Film Festival continues to roll on, and stars keep turning out for film premieres and events, panels and discussions. Over the past couple of days, there’s been premieres for “Your Sister’s Sister,” “The Five-Year Engagement,” “DeadFall,” and a whole bunch more. Shall we take a look at what everyone wore? (Oooh, that rhymed!)

The Good, The Bad & The Totally Meh At Vanity Fair’s Tribeca Film Fest Party

Last night, the Tribeca Film Festival kicked off with a party hosted by Vanity Fair, and dozens of celebs — including Dakota Fanning and Julia Louis-Dreyfus — turned out. The purpose of the Robert De Niro-founded fest is technically to promote films, but famous folk are really there to schmooze and party. Oh, and wear crazy clothes. Check ‘em out!

The Good, The Bad & The Whatever At The 2012 Tribeca Ball

There’s always a solid style turnout for the Tribeca Ball, and it’s no wonder why. The occasion, hosted each year by the New York Academy of Art, calls upon an eclectic cast of characters, from the most watched celebrities and socialites to revered artists and tastemakers. Last night’s Ball was the first to denote a guest of honor — Robert DeNiro was distinguished for his lifelong commitment of the arts, namely in Tribeca. In fact, the actor is actually responsible for founding Tribeca Film (and, later, its eponymous festival) in 1988. Pretty cool! Anyway, let’s get to it: here are my picks for the good, the bad, and the whatever from last night’s event. Teaser: Paz de la Huerta was there. Thank God!

Jamie Chung has been in some truly horrible movies (what’s up “Sucker Punch” and “Dragonball Z”?). But that said, she’s still one of the only reality TV show stars — she was on “The Real World: San Diego” — to reach the holy grail of a successful acting career. And we really like this black cocktail dress with cut-out neckline. Very chic!
