This gorgeous dress is just a taste of designer Mary Katrantzou’s forthcoming collection for TopShop. Not her first for the retailer, but by far her biggest, it will offer 14 pieces and hit stores in February 2012. Her work is characterized by a boldness of silhouettes and prints, and artful attention to the female form. Katrantzou is a recipient of NEWGEN funding, a launchpad program from new designers (notable alumni include Christopher Kane), and has been rocking the industry since her debut show in Fall 2009. Her spring 2012 collection, alit by the theme ”man meets machine meets mother earth,” features delicious chiffon and a whirlwind of flowers, feathers and metallic tinted tulle. Sigh. Sign us up.
