Stefan From “Top Chef” Needs A Date

If you watched last season’s “Top Chef,” you either loved or hated Stefan Richter, the snotty German who rubbed a lot of the other chefs the wrong way. Personally, I loved his arrogance and the fact that his food looks delish. He came close to winning in the finals (and probably should have), but his priority now is winning the heart of a special lady. He’s part of a series in Time Out New York spotlighting single foodies. So what does Stefan look for in a woman? Well, she’d better be a drinker. “If you don’t drink, forget it. Food culture is wine. I would never date a chick who doesn’t drink.” Sounds just like … me! “Top Chef” Host Padma Lakshmi To Star In Sitcom

Padma Lakshmi, the hot foodie we’ve come to love on “Top Chef,” is making the leap into a sitcom. Peacock and Universal Media Studios are creating a half-hour show, tentatively titled “Single Serving,” specifically for Lakshmi. It’ll follow her in the culinary world, and sounds a little bit like Courtney Cox’s character on Friends, maybe? Although she’s best known for playing host for the chef competition on Bravo, Lakshmi has dabbled in acting before. She’s had a role in “The Ten Commandments,” an ABC miniseries, as well as appearances in the full-length features “The Mistress of Spices,” “Boom” and “Glitter.” Oh, and who can forget her amazing performance in a Carl’s Jr ad? On the reunion show, which aired on Wednesday, Fabio won “Fan Favorite” — and now you can take Fabio home with you. Show your amore for the sexy and charming Italian with this “I Heart Fabio” shirt. Top Chef Is Back!

“Top Chef” is back on Bravo, y’all! I’m so excited. I think it’s one of the best reality TV competition shows and unlike, say, “Hell’s Kitchen,” these chefs are actually insanely talented. Well, from what I can see. It’s not like Taste-O-Vision has been made yet (get on that, scientists). After the jump, I break down some of the stand out contestants and what I think they’ll be known for this season. For the record, you should probably take my recommendations on who is going to win the show and start placing bets. You see, I predicted on episode one of this season’s “America’s Next Top Model” that Analeigh would win and she’s now in the final three — if I had only trusted my instinct and bet on her at Bodog.com, I could be on the way to winning, like, $1000.
