Today’s Lady News: “Female Logic” The Actual Name Of A Game Show

Today's Lady News photo
  • “Female Logic” is the actual name of a game show in the country of Georgia, which borders Europe and Russia. The show is being targeted by human rights activists because it’s f**king offensive as shit. On “Female Logic,” six men win a cash prize if they correctly predict how six young, pretty women will answer questions about stuff like astronomy. [IWPR]
  • An Alabama state representative who once tried to ban any book that “promotes homosexuality” is now trying to drastically restrict access to the morning-after pill.  Despite the fact that the FDA recently stated EC should be available on the shelves for all women, State Rep. Gerald Allen (R) proposed a bill requiring a woman to take EC under a doctor’s supervision and have a follow-up visit to ensure taking the pill was effective. [Think Progress]

  • A “friend” of Amanda Bynes (um, probably her publicist) tells gossip blog Radar Online that party-hardy comparisons to Lindsay Lohan after Amanda’s recent DUI arrest are “sexist.” The friend said, “Comparisons between the two are just ridiculous as Amanda has never been arrested for drug possession or for stealing anything … Amanda doesn’t harbor any negative feelings towards Lindsay, she doesn’t even know her, she just thinks it’s sexist that the two are being compared. Men in Hollywood that get arrested for DUIs don’t face the same scrutiny that women do and this is what really irks Amanda.” It’s true. It’s so, so true. [Radar Online]

Today’s Lady News: Extra-Large Condom Ad Zeroes In On Ladies Scared Of Big Penises

Today's Lady News photo
  • Big penises have us running to lock ourselves in the bathroom, don’t they, ladies? That’s what the ad agency behind a (real?) ad for Prudence Extra-Large Condoms wants to think. Although the idea of the ad is clever — a long, wordy rant from a guy trying to be “persuasive” — the actual text is kind of rapey, especially the line about “the screams are part of the fragile lady role.” Sorry, bros, but your condom ad is not sexy. Today’s Lady News: Ann Romney Gets An Apology

Today's Lady News photo
  • Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen, whose remark about Ann Romney “not working” recently blew up, has apologized. “As a mom I know that raising children is the hardest job there is. As a pundit, I know my words on CNN last night were poorly chosen,” Rosen said. “I apologize to Ann Romney and anyone else who was offended. Let’s declare peace in this phony war and go back to focus on the substance.” [Washington Post
  • But Rosen is still getting bashed by the Catholic League for being a lesbian who adopted her two children with her former partner: “Unlike Rosen, who had to adopt kids, Ann raised five of her own.” Ooh, that’s low. [Think Progress
  • Frisky contributor Megan Carpentier connects Rosen’s comments about Ann Romney to Hillary Clinton’s controversial comments almost 20 years ago that she could have “stayed home and baked cookies and had teas” instead of pursuing law. [Raw Story] Keep reading »

Samford, who is 29, tells ABC News she is in a committed relationship and planning to get married this summer. But Heritage Christian Academy still didn’t think this slutty slut slut was a good “Christian role model” and fired her — even refusing to keep her on staff if she and her fiancé married sooner. Today's Lady News photo
  • Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg advises young women that if you want a career and a marriage with someone who will share equally in parenting and household chores, you should marry a woman. I only think she was partly kidding. [The Mary Sue]
  • A bill which could close Mississippi’s only abortion clinic has passed the state Senate and is headed to Governor Phil Bryant’s desk.  The bill would require all doctors working at abortion clinics to have admitting privileges at the local hospital; of the three doctors who work at the clinic, only one has admitting privileges because the other two docs live out of state due to threats against their safety in Mississippi. Today’s Lady News: Gloria Allred Would Be “Impressed” With His Dick Size, Donald Trump Crows

Today's Lady News photo
  • When pressed about transgender beauty queen Jenna Talackova, who was first disqualified from Miss Universe and then re-qualified following an uproar, pageant co-owner Donald Trump bragged that Jenna’s lawyer Gloria Allred would be “very impressed” with his anatomy, if he were forced to prove his gender. EW. [New York Daily News]
  • Shaima Alawadi, a 32-year-old Iraqi-American, was murdered last month in an attack that police, and the country at large, thought was an anti-Muslim hate crime. But new documents obtained suggest family violence  — of some sort — in the California woman’s death. Alawadi was supposedly planning to divorce her husband and move out of state when she was killed. Her 17-year-old daughter was also “distraught” over a forced, arranged marriage to a cousin. Police haven’t implicated anyone in particular in the murder, but are supposedly less certain the death was a simple hate crime. [UTS San Diego]
