Tim Gunn Helps The Smurfs Make It Work

If you love Tim Gunn and his eyebrow raises as much as I do, then this news will seriously make your Friday. The fashion expert is moving into the Hollywood world and just scored a role in the upcoming “The Smurfs Movie.” Though other celebrities, including Katy Perry, Fred Armisen, George Lopez, Anton Yelchin, Alan Cumming, Jeff Foxworthy, Wolfgang Puck and Jonathan Winters, will lend their voices to the picture, Tim joins Neil Patrick Harris, Hank Azaria and Sofia Vergara, who all have live-action roles. Tim is set to play an executive assistant at a major cosmetic company, and I really hope the screenwriters work in a few brilliant quips for Tim that will quickly become favorite quotable phrases. “Project Runway” Returns For Season 7

“Launch My Line” not satisfying your “Project Runway” jones? Good thing PR will make a speedy return on Jan. 14 on Lifetime. And this time around the designers will be back in NYC, where they should be, instead of L.A. The 16 designers will compete for $100,000 to launch their line and a spread in Marie Claire. I think this is the most diverse cast to date. There are competitors hailing from the Ivory Coast, Dominican Republic, the Philippines, China, and Mexico. And, of course, our favorite mentor Tim Gunn will be back, as well as Heidi Klum, Michael Kors, and Nina Garcia. And in case you’re sick of “America’s Next Top Model” re-runs, “Models of the Runway” will air immediately following “Project Runway.” [People] Keep reading »

After debuting his own collection, maternity clothes, and Payless shoes, now Siriano is coming out with a book. As one might expect it is called “Fierce Style: How To Be Your Most Fabulous Self.” Keep reading »

Tim Gunn Dishes On The New “Project Runway” Designers

We were extremely bummed to learn “Project Runway” was “moving to Lifetime from Bravo. Our depression grew when we realized Bravo’s “The Fashion Show” is no “Runway” substitute — Kelly Rowland and Isaac Mizrahi have nothing on Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn! Well, season six of “Runway” is set to premiere on Aug. 20, and we’ll be watching, despite the network move. Tim spoke to People.com about his take on the new designers, piquing our interest in the show once again. Keep reading »
