I was kind of skeptical about whether the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” would be able to bring the drama. After watching last night’s episode, I have no more worries. Sure, Jacqueline Laurita needs to get a backbone, and Teresa Giudice doesn’t seem to do much more than spend money, but Bravo hit the mother lode with Danielle Straub. Compared with the other housewives, including the ones in Orange County, Atlanta, and New York City, she is the ultimate villainess. Don’t let the coy smile fool you. Danielle, as one of the most divisive characters, had it totally right when she said, “You either love me or you love to hate me, there is no in between.” At this point, I don’t love or hate Danielle as a person, but I do love the drama she brings. Bethenny Frankel isn’t married, so her appearances on “The Real Housewives of New York City” usually focus on her friendships or her dating life. Last night, Bethenny gave us one hell of dating gem. She introduced us to the “trick guy,” a not-so-good-looking man who’s insecure because he didn’t get laid in high school, and who, as a grown man, is still sorting out his insecurities. Now that he’s older and has more money, he feels he has to make up for lost time. He’ll cheat on his wife or girlfriend and go out to strip clubs. Basically, he plays head games with the women in his life. Conversely, the attractive guy had enough sex in high school or college to make him more grounded and able to connect to women as he gets older. Of course, Bethenny says this theory doesn’t hold true across the board Some gorgeous men remain d-bags throughout their lives. Do you think there’s any weight to the “trick guy” theory? Have you ever been tricked into liking a trick guy? Keep reading »
A few weeks ago, we told you “Real Housewives of Orange County” stars Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley were secretly hooking up. Well, now there’s photographic evidence. Slade and Gretchen are not only kissing in some of the shots, but he’s also checking out her butt while holding her at arms length. Gretchen, of course, seems to be acting her usual flirtatious self, showing off her tiny booty and veneered smile. And she’s wearing an engagement ring, which is probably the same one Jeff Beitzel gave her during season four because Slade has been having money troubles lately and probably couldn’t afford one. I can say one positive thing about this doomed affair: Her white bikini with black lace details is rather cute. [Dlisted] Keep reading »
Some people pride themselves on achieving a degree, starting a business, or raising a family. But one of cast members of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” prides herself on being one of the first female American Express Black card members in Jersey. That’s Danielle Staub, a single mom who along with sisters Dina and Caroline Manzo, their sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita, and friend Teresa Guidice are featured on Bravo’s fourth installment of “The Real Housewives” franchise. Since this bunch of gals is already connected, we won’t have to sit through those awkwardly staged, surprise introductions that occur on the other shows. We’re sure that with all this family drama these women will become frenemies in no time. Thank you Bravo for answering our prayers. Now we have something to hold us over until the real drama begins on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season two.

The talent of “The Real Housewives of New York” seem like the classiest and most sophisticated of the housewives bunch. I mean, LuAnn deLesseps is writing a book on etiquette and Alex McCord’s sons speak like 15 languages. Plus, the women are actually immersed in New York’s high society. But that doesn’t mean they don’t have their legal woes too. Kelly Killoren Bensimon, the newest addition to “The Real Housewives of New York” cast, gives off an air of refinery, but this former model can get down and dirty when she wants. Keep reading »
