Season two of “The Rachel Zoe Project” premiered last night, confirming something I’d often felt throughout season one: I heart Taylor.
In case you’re not on a first-name basis with her, Taylor Jacobson is a styling associate who works for Rachel Zoe. She is part of the Brad-Taylor dynamic duo that helps Rachel dress clients for movie premieres, award shows, and more. With her messy blond hair that covers half her face more than half the time and stacked gold bracelets and a chunky watch on her wrist, Taylor is rock ‘n’ roll, and she has a bad attitude to match. When I confessed my girl crush on Taylor to a friend, he said, “I’m sorry, all she does is complain.” But that’s part of why I like her.
It’s a big day in Rachel Zoe news. Not only did The Zoe Report debut this morning, but there’s also a preview trailer for season two of “The Rachel Zoe Project,” which airs on Bravo starting Aug. 24. We cannot wait to watch how she deals with the bad press about her underweight look; to see who quits first, Brad or Taylor; and to marvel at the gorgeousness that is Liv Tyler, who says upon arriving at Rachel’s studio, “I need cute outfits!” We do, too, Liv, so can we have your hand-me-downs?
Season two of “The Rachel Zoe Project” premieres Aug. 25 on Bravo, and we’re just dying with anticipation. The Zoe has been tweeting up a storm, teasing us about the upcoming episodes, but she hasn’t been using any of her infamous catchphrases. Maybe she has some new ones up her vintage YSL sleeves? After the jump, our guesses for what Rachel Zoe’s next batch of quotable phrases will be.
Those Rachel Zoe-inspired T-shirts we were going bananas over aren’t happening anymore. Christopher Sauvé, the designer, received a cease-and-desist letter from Zoe’s lawyer. Apparently, “I die” and “Bananas” are trademarked. Are we even allowed to utter those phrases? Or do we have to pay someone every time we exclaim, “I die!” over a, well, to-die-for vintage dress. What kind of monster won’t allow other people take inspiration from her and art? Sauvé isn’t easily deterred, though. He’s come up with an alternate design (left) based on his “favorite things from the 1980s.” Hm. Do you think the Zoe will notice? [NY Mag]
In case you were stuck in a cave somewhere and missed the “Project Runway” finale, you can watch it on Saturday. Bravo will also re-air the final episode of “The Rachel Zoe Project” on Saturday, too. You can also check out the complete season of “Baby Borrowers.” I’m kind of excited about the Dooney & Bourke event on QVC, which airs Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, you can watch the classic “Mommie Dearest” while you clean out your closet for fall. Remember, no wire hangers, evahhhhhhh! And of course, Sunday is great for primetime viewing.
We are obsessed with Rachel Zoe, and really, how can you not be enthralled? She’s a fur-wearing, über-tan shopaholic who utters quotable phrases like it’s her job. And now, thanks to the Zoe, we’re obsessed with our phones, too, because Bravo has Rachel Zoe ringtones. Click on the links below, and you can have Rachel shout “You are shutting it down” on repeat. Talk about a confidence booster.
Oh, and be patient, because each of the pages takes a little while to load. IPhone users, Amelia says you’re out of luck—the ringtones aren’t compatible with your phones. [SOB!—Editor]
On last night’s “Rachel Zoe Project,” Rachel and her husband, Rodger, got into an argument about how they should celebrate their 10th anniversary. Rachel wanted to have a party with 200 of their closest friends and renew their vows. Rodger thought they celebrate with just the two of them and maybe take a trip to Palm Springs—to which Rachel responded, “You want to go away with me, you, my Blackberry, and my laptop?....Fine, we won’t have a party.” So, my friends, we ask you: Do you think wedding anniversaries should be celebrated by the couple alone, or should friends and family be invited, too? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
Tonight’s episode of “The Rachel Zoe Project” airs at 10 p.m. (That’s ten o’clock, not eleven o’clock, like last week. Don’t miss it, people!) In this week’s episode, Taylor and Brad fight some more. If you’re a fan, you know Brad is a deeply emotional man. Last week, he sobbed copiously. Will Taylor make him cry tonight?
I know we’ve said this before, but The Rachel Zoe Project, which premieres tonight at 11 p.m. on Bravo, looks like it’s going to be better than Project Runway and The Hills combined. Please don’t let us down, Bravo. (Doesn’t Rachel’s hubby look über-young? Amelia says he reminds her of Brent Bolthouse.)
Since this season’s Project Runway is the last that will air on Bravo, people have been speculating what the network will do to replace its signature show. The answer: The Rachel Zoe Project. The show premieres on September 9. I just watched every single related video BravoTV has on its website and have come to the conclusion that it is going to rock for several reasons…
