Here’s Piper Perabo at the Cinema Society’s screening of “The Hunger Games.” She’s looking rather vampy and sexy — but is it just too much? Should the shirt maybe be, oh, I don’t know, buttoned, just a tad? In the current pose, her outfit looks almost a bit post-coital, wouldn’t you say?
“The Hunger Games” have officially begun in theaters! GAH! Let’s celebrate with some pickup lines from Panem… Keep reading »
Last night was the premiere of “The Hunger Games,” what will be arguably one of the biggest movies of the year. It’s expected to gross more than $100 million this weekend, given the popularity of the book franchise, and turn Jennifer Lawrence from indie sensation to household name. Predictably, there were tons of celebs in attendance, some who held court in sartorial glory, and others who missed the mark. Click through to see who fared well in “The Hunger Games” Battle Royale.
Well, I just about peed myself from excitement. Finally, a scene from the upcoming OMG-whyyyyy-isn’t-it-out-yet movie, “The Hunger Games,” has been released on the web and it is exactly the way I pictured things when I was reading the book. In the scene, Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence, is presenting her bow-and-arrow skills to a group of distracted judges — so she gets their attention in an aggressive and brave way. Check it out above. March 23 cannot get here soon enough. [MTV.com]
Are you ready for a sadz? Taylor Swift released a song she’s contributed to “The Hunger Games” soundtrack. “Safe and Sound” is a lovely, melancholy one. I love Taylor on her own, but the backup vocals from The Civil Wars elevate this song from good to great. What say you? [The Hollywood Reporter] Keep reading »

, Suzanne Collins young adult book series, so imagine my excitement at finally getting a sneak peek at the first film during last night’s VMAs. Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Katniss Everdeen in the film, introduced the clip, my palms started to sweat, and then … this was it? I know they’re slowing starting to build anticipation, but this “teaser” was barely a tickle. Meh. [Huffington Post

Entertainment Weekly readers are starving for “The Hunger Games.” And so this week’s cover features Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, who will play Gale and Peeta in the flick. Last time we saw Hutcherson, he was a little scrawny in “The Kids Are All Right.” He did hardcore training and put on 15 pounds of muscle in order to look like a guy who’s been carting flour and other supplies his whole life. And while they are rivals on screen, these two guys became fast friends on set. ”I think it’s going to blow people’s minds when they see that Peeta and Gale are actually best friends in real life,” says Hutcherson.
