Now that the ink is dry on Heidi Montag‘s divorce filing, Spencer Pratt is spilling the beans. Apparently, the epic Spencer/Heidi love story was as fake as Heidi’s new body. “I love Heidi but our marriage was a show – it was part of ‘The Hills’ world,” Spencer said. “And that world is on a sound stage.” But he also alluded to the fact that the couple just wanted different things from their fame whore lives: “It’s clear that reality TV-fame-loving Spencer Pratt does not fit with my ex-wife Heidi Montag’s ambitions for a motion picture actor/pop star career and being a single sex symbol for the world,” he continued. We thought it was kind of funny when Spencer Pratt showed up to the after-party to celebrate the final episode of “The Hills” dressed as an old homeless man to protest the fact that he wasn’t on the guest list. “My high is how much people hate me,” he said. He also elaborated that he was dressed as a crazy old man because “when your life is edited into one-minute segments, that’s what you look like in the end.”
But there were several people who were not amused—the cast of the show, who witnessed his increasingly erratic behavior first hand. “He was not even allowed at the curb. The talent are really physically afraid of him,” a source said. “Lauren Conrad had a Taser in her bag.” Lauren’s publicist won’t say whether this is true or not, but I would like to think it is. The King of Absurdistan has tweeted that he’s going to start his own “PAP” (read: paparazzi) agency: “anyone tweet me any celebrity sitings I’m starting my own PAP agency! I will pay for good tips if they get me the photo hahaha.” Ah, I love a literate man. Both Stephanie Pratt and Audrina Patridge — friends and fellow cast members on MTV’s “The Hills” — seem to have different opinions on whether producers meddle in the cast’s personal affairs. We’ve learned exclusively from our friends at Runway magazine that Pratt told the glossy’s new issue (on stands now) that her introduction to the show as Lauren Conrad‘s “enemy” (bolstered by her allegiance to her now-estranged brother Spencer) was completely real and that being assigned to the same computer class was not orchestrated by producers. “It was so not staged,” she told the magazine of being assigned a seat next to Conrad in class, after their big fight at a nightclub. “Seriously the most gigantic coincidence ever!” Hmm, we’d call it dumb luck, considering the relationship between Pratt and Conrad developed to the point where Pratt is now a full-time cast member on the show.
