Julianna Margulies Is Tired Of TV Execs Pitting Shows With Strong Female Leads Against Each Other

“I don’t understand executives that pit women against each other. The fact that they brought in ‘Body of Proof’ [at the same time as 'The Good Wife']—Dana Delaney is a friend of mine, and the two of us were just rolling our eyes. It’s like, of course, you finally have two great female leads and you’re going to put us on against each other … You’re a**holes. You should have put them on against a different show to see where they go, and then in the end, it was split down the middle. It’s the feeling that you want to celebrate not de-calibrate.”

As far as women have come in all industries, I believe that there is still the pervasive, underlying belief (albeit unconscious) — both by men and women — that there can only be one or two women on top. I will look forward to a paradigm shift where the ruling principle for the success of women is abundance. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »

—Julianna Margulies of “The Good Wife” says she prefers making out with her lawyer husband to all the famous guys she’s had to smooch onscreen. Yeah, we kind of agree. Holy hotness! Where do we find one? [People] Keep reading »
