Jillian Michaels Leaving “The Biggest Loser”: What Should She Do Next?

Jillian Michaels seems like someone I should like. She is hardworking, entrepreneurial, ardently tries to bring out the best in people, and is famous for something other than her butt. But frankly, the woman terrifies me. I cannot watch “The Biggest Loser” without fear that her glistening six-pack of steel will appear in my living room and scream, “Drop and give me 20! No, 50!”

Jillian recently tweeted that she is moving onto greener pastures. “Season 11 of Biggest Loser will be my last :) have to finish out my contract,” she said, referring to the season that starts in January. The notoriously intense personal trainer told her fans that she wants to “become a mommy” (likely through adoption), but we have some other career ideas for Miss Jillian: Keep reading »

Awww. It looks like two Bravo reality TV show stars have gotten together—and they didn’t even need the help of “The Millionaire Matchmaker.” Kelly Bensimon of “The Real Housewives of New York City” and recently divorced Sam Talbot of “Top Chef” sure look like they are dating. Although this couple is denying rumors of a hookup, they’ve been spotted at three parties. A friend even said, “I don’t know why they deny it.” [NY Post]

“The Biggest Loser” Has A Better Track Record Than “The Bachelor”

In case you haven’t heard, there are wedding bells ringing over at “The Bachelor” camp. Since actual nuptial news from the show only rolls around once every … OK, only once ever, listen up: Jason and Molly are gonna tie the knot on March 8. And in true “Bachelor” fashion, they’re sharing their intimate ceremony with the whole nation. In 13 seasons of “The Bachelor” and five of “The Bachelorette,” they are only the second couple to make it down the aisle. And, uh, these two could only be described as dysfunctional—remember when Jason ditched his first-choice fiancée for Molly?—so who knows if they’ll actually say “I do.” That’s not such a hot track record for a show dedicated to finding the one.

I’ve never gotten into “The Bachelor.” But interestingly, there exists another reality show that I do watch regularly which has nothing to do with dating yet has a much better couple success ratio. This wondrous show is known as “The Biggest Loser.” Keep reading »

Controversial Combo Looks Fab On “The Biggest Loser” Host Alison Sweeney

When Annika posted about how to wear black and brown together, some of you still couldn’t get behind the color combination. Commenter Chicka Chicka Boom Boom even said, “This is one trend I will definitely not be following.” Well, last night, while watching “The Biggest Loser,” I noticed that host Alison Sweeney paired a brown leather belt with a simple black dress for the weigh-in. She looked great, and considering that she’s a pretty mainstream dresser (not in a bad way, she just doesn’t wear anything too crazy), I’d say the rule forbidding these two colors from being combined is gone for good.
