Quotable: Vienna Girardi Says Bachelor Jake Refused Sex With Her

“We haven’t been intimate in months now. More than four months. At first his excuse was that he was fasting. The second excuse was that he didn’t feel like it. And the third excuse was that he said that he felt that I wouldn’t understand that he wants to wait until marriage, even though I told him I’d support him. Then the last excuse was that we fight so much that I push him away. I was like, really — which excuse is it? I literally have been living six months with this guy who won’t be intimate with me!”

— Vienna Girardi has already sold her breakup story to Star, and seems to suggest she and Jake never consummated their relationship. I guess we could make this potential reason #11 for the breakup? [via Huffington Post] Keep reading »

Frisky Rant: It’s Time To Boycott “The Bachelor”

The announcement that Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi have split is the straw breaking this camel’s back. I think I’ve had just about enough of “The Bachelor.” I have known for a long time that the relationships born and bred in front of a camera are a shamfest (except for maybe Ryan and Trista) but it took me a while to catch onto the fact that the show is really nothing more than a shameless promotional vehicle for launching the entertainment careers of the young, hot, and fame-hungry. Let’s review the evidence at hand, shall we? Keep reading »

Yesterday, we reported that Bachelor Jake’s fiancée, Vienna Girardi, was spotted at a Summer Solstice Beach party in Santa Monica over the weekend flirting with “Greek” cast member Gregory Michael in the VIP area. Today comes news from the couple’s rep that just a few months after getting engaged on national television, the two are splitsville. Gee, no one saw that coming! Frisky Gossip: Vienna Girardi Flirts It Up Sans Jake

At this weekend’s Pacsun Summer Solstice Beach Ballyhoo in Santa Monica, we couldn’t help but notice that former “Bachelor” Jake Pavelka was auspiciously missing as his fiancée Vienna Girardi did some hardcore flirting with hunky “Greek” cast member Gregory Michael in the VIP area. She’s supposed to be looking for a job while Jake films a guest star part on “Drop Dead Diva,” but it looked like she was auditioning for a new boyfriend? Keep reading »

What Is The “Bachelorette” Vetting Process?

Last night, “Bachelorette” contestant Kasey Kahl showed the true level of his crazy, repeating the phrase “I’m here to protect and guard your heart” 90,000 times and getting an ugly tattoo on his wrist to symbolize his intentions. During their one-on-one date, Ali questioned Kasey’s sincerity. We, on the other hand, totally believe that he is this in love with a girl he barely knows, and thus we are questioning his sanity. Which brings us back to the age-old question—how do “Bachelorette” producers vet the men?

Luckily, Jesse Csincsak—the guy “Bachelorette” DeAnna Pappas picked in season four—has teamed up with Radar to reveal the whole process. Keep reading »

Has Bachelor Jake Quit His Pilot Career?

Say what you want about the guy, but Bachelor Jake Pavelka is doing a hell of a job extending his 15 minutes of fame. After parlaying his appearance on Jillian Harris’ season of “The Bachelorette” into a gig as the next season’s “Bachelor,” Jake then worked his way onto “Dancing With the Stars,” and he didn’t stop there. Jake’s newest job is a guest-starring role on Lifetime’s comedy-drama “Drop Dead Diva.” Luckily, he won’t have to rely too heavily on any acting skills he may or may not have; he’ll play a suitor on the fictional dating show “Finding the One,” in which his character “spurns one bachelorette for another.” He begins shooting his scenes on June 18 ( to air Aug. 22), and executive producer Josh Berman says, “When we spoke about his shooting dates, he told us that he would be coming from Texas and could be on the set by noon. Since he was a former [commercial] pilot, he still remembered the flying schedule!” Wait, former commercial pilot? Does that mean Jake has hung up his aviators for good now that he’s found his route to Hollywood? Well, no one ever accused him of being overly bright, right? [via People] Keep reading »
