Go ahead, put me down on the roster of people who were strongly opposed to Taylor Swift’s visage plastered across the February cover of Vogue. I’ve always thought of her as young, immature, and reeking of eau de teenybopper: cowboy boots, a guitar, and a prom dress? No, thanks. Lo and behold, the chops she showed in the magazine caught me off guard, and I’ve begun to see the country-pop songstress in a different light. She looks all kinds of grown-up on the cover, and photos of her draped in Rodarte on plush couches in the editorial show her to be a formidable fashion girl and clothes-hanger as well. Taylor has grown exponentially since she first appeared on the scene as a curly-haired, button-nosed country bumpkin. Maybe I can find a bit of room in my heart for her, after all. Here’s a look back at her style metamorphosis.

I think of Anne Hathaway as an arbiter of class. I speak for myself, but I’ve never heard or read anything that depicted Anne to be any less than a contemporary Audrey … except for maybe the financial crimes of her ex-BF, but we can’t hold that against her. Earlier this week, Anne attended the Princess Grace Awards Gala here in NYC alongside Julie Andrews and Princess Charlene of Monaco (wow, she hangs out with such riffraff!). When I saw the pictures from the event online, I was ridiculously impressed by her ability to carry this embellished dress. I am a harsh critic of sparkle and shine on clothing, but Anne’s Valentino could make a convert out of me. This got me thinking: what other celebrities have rocked sparkly dresses with total class? There’s not an ounce of garishness on any of these ladies.

Celeb Jihad is the website that cried wolf when it comes to leaked celebrity nudie pics. The latest “private pic” on their site is that of a topless Taylor Swift laying on a bed in nothing but her undies.The singer vehemently denies that the photo is hers.  The face looks like Taylor, but um, Celeb Jihad, do you think we’re stupid? We know what you’re up to. It’s called Photoshopping. The site is notorious for leaking fake nude pics of other starlets like Scarlett Johansson. Their worst work is a totally tasteless  photo of Emma Watson spreading her legs (extreeeeemely NSFW, folks). We’re not really feeling their credibility anymore, if you know what we mean. We humbly request that they stop now and we’re sure the celebs whom they’ve violated would concur. If they don’t take don’t take down Taylor’s pics, her lawyers will make them. They’ve already sent a cease and desist letter for their “false pornographic images” and are prepared to sue for trademark infringement. [Huffington Post]
