Just when I thought this sleeping bag snowsuit was the World’s Coziest Invention, I come across a picture of this full-body sweater onesie thing. Suddenly my winter wardrobe seems wholly inadequate. If I had to make a list of my favorite adjectives, it would definitely include “soft,” “warm,” “cable-knit,” and “oatmeal-colored,” so we are definitely on the same page. The bad news? This cardigan combines the best thing about fall fashion (slouchy cardigans!) with the best thing about summer fashion (bright colors!), which makes it the perfect transition piece to bridge the seasons. I’d love to throw it on over jersey dresses or dark denim skinny jeans and flats–pretty sure I’d find a way to wear this baby pretty much every day. [$90, J.Crew]
The long, lean silhouette that dominated past seasons (think tunics and boyfriend cardigans) has recently given way to a much different look: short tops and sweaters that stop right at the waist or just above it. This style is super cute but it’s a bit tricky to style a cropped top if you don’t want to show your midriff. To help you out, we took one cropped sweater and styled it 3 very different–and very wearable–ways. Click through to check out the options… [Sweater, $70, Keep reading »
