It’s waaaayyyy too cold to leave the house this weekend, so make the most of your indoor time by transforming an old sweater into a cozy new pillow cover. The process is surprisingly easy, and when you’re done you can cuddle up with the fruits of your labor and take a nice, long nap. [Brassy Apple]
A short-sleeved sweater seems, you know, to totally miss the point of being a sweater. Sweaters should keep you warm and cozy and protected. But! What a short-sleeved sweater lacks in arm-covering it makes up for with style. SS sweaters are great for layering — wear a long-sleeved shirt underneath, or a pretty, frilly blouse to dress up your winter wardrobe. Plus, the whole not having sleeves thing will make it easier to get your winter coat on. Promise, it really works.

I consider myself something of a pullover sweater connoisseur in that I am never not wearing one. Why wear real clothes when you can just throw a sweater on? This year, I’m loving them in warm, thick knits and relaxed crew-neck silhouettes, perfect for wearing alone or layering over collared shirts. Check out 10 of my top picks in the gallery above!
You guys, Bill Cosby has a very important question, and when Bill Cosby has a question, it is in your best interest to give Bill Cosby an answer. So let me relay it to you: Mr. Cosby, and/or whoever represents Mr. Cosby on this here Internet, tweeted, “Over the years, I have worn many sweaters. Tell me which is your favorite.” Well now! I could pick 50 favorites, just off the top of my head (holler at my major high school depressive episode where I laid on the couch in a bathrobe watching reruns for two years straight!), but to make things a little easier on those of you not as well-versed in the subtleties of the Huxtable family wardrobe, Bill has attached a very cool poll on his website with photos of himself (as Cliff Huxtable, natch) sporting an array of sweaters. I will have you know that the 24 options currently presented are just round 1 — eventually, of all the Cosby sweaters Bill Cosby has worn, one sole sweater will emerge victorious, and I think you definitely want to make sure that it’s your favorite sweater. “I’m looking for the perfect long, soft, warm, oatmeal-colored cable-knit fisherman’s sweater for winter. Any ideas?” –Kim
If I had to make a list of my favorite adjectives, it would definitely include “soft,” “warm,” “cable-knit,” and “oatmeal-colored,” so we are definitely on the same page. The bad news? Apparently everyone else in the world is also on our page, because most of the sweaters I found that fit the bill were sold out. The glorious specimen above, for example, which, in all its slouchy perfection, is currently unavailable (sigh). But don’t worry–I still found a few options for the dreamy sweater you seek.
