  • Susan Sarandon was interviewed this weekend at the Hamptons Film Festival and referred to the Pope as a “Nazi.” (Pope Benedict XVI, a German, did have connections to Hitler Youth as a child — as did many Germans.) I’m a huuuge Susan Sarandon fan, but calling someone a “Nazi” is balls-out rude. It’ll be a fun week to be Susan Sarandon’s publicist, huh? [UsWeekly]

The Hollywood Reporter has brought us some new details about the movie “I Hate You Dad” which will star Adam Sandler as a father who moves in with his son, Andy Samberg, and quickly begins to feud with his fiancee, Leighton Meester. Oh, but the casting choices only get more exciting from there. Our favorite mother/daughter duo—Eva Amurri and Susan Sarandon—will also be in this flick, with Susan playing a sexy older teacher who seduced Adam Sandler’s character when he was younger. She may or may not be Andy Samberg’s mama.

Susan Sarandon may have lost her marbles—or, uh, her ping pong balls. Last December, she and her dude of 23 years, Tim Robbins, split. Next thing you know, Susan was seen constantly hanging out with Jonathan Bricklin, a 31-year-old who is her fellow investor in SPiN, a ping-pong club in New York City. Now, Susan has announced that they are working on a reality TV show together about the ping-pongers who spend their days and nights at SPiN. “It won’t be the ‘Jersey Shore,’” says Susan, who also says she is the “Johnny Appleseed of ping-pong.” “It’s more of an episodic documentary. Santa just shoved a big honkin’ piece of gossip down our stocking a day early: a source tells Gawker that Susan Sarandon split from Tim Robbins, her beau of 23 years, for Jonathan Bricklin, a 31-year-old investor in a Manhattan ping pong club. For those of you who live outside the NYC area, yes, our fair city has an “exclusive” ping pong social club called Spin that members pay $100 to attend. Bricklin is an entrepreneur behind Spin and Sarandon has always been an, um, enthusiastic supporter.

Sob! Susan Sarandon And Tim Robbins Have Split Up

Nooooo! Famously never-married couple, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, have split up after 23 years together, her publicist has confirmed.

Sarandon and Robbins met on the set of “Bull Durham,” and, despite a 12-year age difference, had a long relationship and two sons together. (Sarandon’s daughter, Eva Amurri, is from a past relationship.) The split actually occurred over the summer, her publicist explained, but I guess no one noticed until now. [People]
