Can I tell you something sort of depressing? The summer is almost over (okay, two sort of depressing things) … and I haven’t gotten any action in months. You guys, I need to have a summer fling. The weather will only be warm enough for strappy sundresses for a little while longer. I must put this tan to good use! To encourage and inspire this quest of mine — and yours, if you too are looking for a summer fling — I have made a list of 30 possible places to maybe might meet someone rad. I entered the hostel common room and plunked down on the couch next to a sunburned Norwegian in flip-flops. The plasma television was tuned to European MTV, which in the Balkans apparently still broadcasts music videos. A gaggle of Irish girls, likely still part of the channel’s demographic, drank cocktails from coffee mugs. Scantily clad bodies, sun, surf, outdoor bars, gleaming tans, it all makes for a lovely little fantasy. Unfortunately, fantasies often come to an end. Sorry kid, time to wake up from that dream. Fall is almost here! So how are you going to let your summer fling fade gently into the sunset? Here are my tips:
(WO)MAN UP: I don’t like people who ignore — they have absolutely no backbone and are cowards. Own up to what you’re doing. Make it clear that it is O-V-E-R. This was fun, but now it’s done. You don’t want to get stuck with a Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction: “I will not be IGNORED, Daniel!”
