This outfit Salma Hayek wore out to an awards brunch is like a master class in how to pull off sexy elegance (sexygance?). The pink coat, pearls, and black dress are classic pieces, but the addition of little details like a keyhole neckline and T-strap pumps really take the look to the next level. Leelee Sobieski has been in so many great films and one particularly outstanding TV miniseries adapted from one of my favorite books ever (ahem, “Les Liaisons dangereuses”). It’s crazy to think that the NYC native is only 29. Leelee took some time off from the industry the past few years after getting married and having her first child, but with a few new credits under her belt and a few artful public appearances (looking flawless, might I add), we’ve got our cards stacked in favor of the actress’s big-screen comeback. While she showed her support for good friend Raf Simons at the Christian Dior show, we fell in love with her chic basics. This smart greyscale look is the perfect way to elevate all-black — Leelee shows us how. Keep reading »
I am 100 percent, certifiably, should-be-locked-away, threat-to-public-wellbeing obsessed with Diane Kruger. She and Marion Cotillard are my Parisian patron saints. They’re also both rarely caught in casual wear, but when they are, it’s always in chic, reliable wardrobe stalwarts like skinny jeans, flats, striped tees, and — as seen right here on Diane — khaki surplus jackets. Ladies after my own heart! (I wish.) Diane’s all zippered up, but we think she would love the nautically inspired gold buttoned shoulder on this white tee, but if French flair is what you’re going for, you know what to do. (It involves stripes.) I can’t promise you will look as cute as Diane in this laid-back ensemble, but we can sure try, right? Keep reading »

What did you think of all the cutout dresses at the Golden Globes this year? Some dresses definitely worked better than others, but in general I loved seeing so many unique silhouettes and unexpected flashes of skin on the red carpet. Whatever your body type and levels of modesty, there are actually a ton of ways to get the cutout look. Want to show off your shoulders? Draw attention to your collarbone? Highlight your back? I found 10 sexy cutout pieces in a variety of styles and colors–click on the gallery to find the perfect one for you!
I always get so inspired by red carpet fashion, until I realize that my day to day life affords me very few opportunities to wear sequin fishtail gowns, and then I get sort of depressed. But luckily for us non-famous folks, there were a few trends from last night’s Golden Globes ceremony that can easily translate to the real world: for example, sparkly statement earrings. Stars like Taylor Swift, Salma Hayek, Naomi Watts, Debra Messing, and Alyssa Milano wore huge, glam earrings last night, but this look works just as well with a little black dress for a dinner date as it does for the red carpet. Want to steal this celeb style? I found 10 pairs of gorgeous, sparkly statement earrings starting at just $24. Click through to check ‘em out…
Mindy Kaling always looks so cute, and I especially love this outfit she wore to the FOX Winter 2013 Television Critics Association previews, rocking mixed patterns like a pro. I spent forever trying to find an affordable version of her printed coat, but ultimately had to settle for a polka dot number that’s not an exact replica, but will still go beautifully with a floral dress. After the jump, get the shopping details on all the pieces to recreate Mindy’s look — for $80 or less! Keep reading »
This is what Miranda Kerr wore to get her nails did at a salon in Los Angeles. Afterwards, her manpiece Orlando Bloom came to pick her up, and the two rode off into the sunset, sustained by their combined beauty and sexiness. Typical Saturday for that one. Anyways, we really liked this not-so-matchy-matchy outfit, which is perfectly topped off by a pair of cat-eye glitter gold sunglasses. Normally, you’d never hear me approving of something that sounds so tacky, but on Ms. Kerr, it (of course) works. Get the look after the jump.
Actress Anna Friel emerged from the stage door of London’s Vaudeville Theater in this adorable outfit, and I want to copy it for myself ASAP. I especially love the combination of casual cuffed jeans with sexy t-strap heels, and the flirty floral blouse paired with a masculine topcoat–perfect. Want to join me in stealing her style?
