“Help! I’m a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding and the only directive I’ve been given is turquoise. I can wear a skirt or a dress but there needs to be turquoise. I don’t want it to be too tight, or too revealing (I’ve got back tattoos!) — and none of that high-low skirt business. What do you recommend?” — Marlee
Oh geez, turquoise. It’s one of those colors that seems like an easy-peasy good idea, but is actually really hard for a lot of people to wear. A shade or two off and you look neon and will upstage the bride. But never fear, we’ve got some options for you! Get the details after the jump!

“I just received a Gap chambray shirt that I ordered from Ebay … but what I thought was their modern-cut, form-fitting top was more of a ’90s style, over-sized shirt. I see women wearing looser chambray shirts tucked into tight miniskirts … but I’m 5’0″ and a size 12. I don’t think that look would flatter me. How else can I style this top? Oh Jackie, my closet is a veritable treasure chest of misbegotten eBay items — things that are too big or too small, and just totally unwearable. You’ve got to balance the oversized, flowiness of it with something more tight-fitting and sleek. Don’t try and hide the oversized-ness of the shirt! Play it up!

The other day, Winona did a gallery of celebs in maroon and burgundy dresses. One of her pics was of Bethenny Frankel, and reader dgissell commented, “can we please find out what brand is this dress and the cheaper version of it too?? i loooove it!!!”
Well you ask, and we respond. Winona and I set out on a search for Bethenny’s dress design, but couldn’t find anything. As a last ditch effort, I sent a tweet to Bethenny, and OMG! She responded: Keep reading »
“Help! I’m looking for a pair of grey jeans to mix up my wardrobe. I want light grey ones, but not so light that I have to worry about spills on them. I’d also like them skinny not flared. Do you have suggestion of jeans that fit a size 10 or 12? I’m willing to spend up to $150 but would prefer less.” — Kendra
Ah yes,the old jean hunt. Grey jeans are a nice basic that go great with pretty much anything you’d wear regular blue denim with. After the jump, we have four great options for you!

First off, can I just say … our intern has the best last name: Moo-Pow. I love it. Not only that, but she’s great and she has a minor dilemma: she needs the perfect pair of black strappy sandals. She saw some on Pinterest that she liked, but isn’t sure where to find them. Because Pinterest is basically useless like that. Anyways! While we couldn’t find the exact pair, we did manage to put together a few worthy and similar options. Check them out after the jump! Keep reading »
