H1N1 Is The Height Of Fashion

Vogue Italia

What’s the latest must-have for the forward-thinking fashionista? H1N1, if the latest provocative layout from photographer Steven Klein for Vogue Italia is to be believed. Previously, Klein has used everything from the Iraq war to the NSA to tell his fashion stories, and this new spread from the November issue is no exception. In it, flame-haired model Rianne ten Haken seems to be grappling with the consequences of living in a contagion-filled world. Surrounded by men in white masks, she ends up collapsed on the floor with no one to help her. Good thing she looks damn good with the swine flu. Check out more images after the jump.

Uma Thurman Graces The Cover Of W Magazine With Her Magnificence

Uma Thurman

Statuesque actress Uma Thurman, 39, does the cover of W magazine and sits for a feature profile inside. We meet her two children with ex-husband Ethan Hawke (Levon, 7, and Maya, 11), tour her Greenwich Village townhouse, and hear about her fiancé, financier Arpad “Arki” Busson. Because no actress would talk to the media without something to promote, she’s hawking her upcoming movie, “Motherhood,” in which she plays a ... mommy blogger? “Kill Bill” it is not. She refuses to trash-talk Hawke, doesn’t have a wedding date set yet, and rocks an engagement ring that could put your eye out. After the jump, a few images from the Steven Klein-shot layout. [W]

New Steven Klein Spread For Vogues Hommes Japan Titillates

Male Model

Fashion photographer Steven Klein‘s latest foray into highly-stylized eroticism can be found not in Vogue Italia but Vogue Hommes Japan. There’s a cover and 30 pages of all-male action, starring ripped abs, bent-over boys, and fetish gear that’s sure to make the girls and the gays alike happy. The sexy male models in contorted poses usually relegated to the sticky, glossy pages of clandestine SM-themed men’s magazines include Travis Hanson, Ryan Koning, and Colby Jamar. Get an eyeful of more of these barely-clad fashion gladiators after the jump.

Bruce Willis And New Wife Emma Get Freaky For W Magazine

Bruce and Emma Willis

Holy crackers. I saw the first of these photos featuring Bruce Willis and his newish wife Emma in the July issue of W magazine, and I was like, Wahh? They are weird. But, hey! Whatever floats your boat. Of course, they’re shot by Steven Klein, who’s always doing strange things. The header reads: “For years Bruce Willis vowed he’d never marry again. Then the movie star met sizzling Emma Heming, and she changed his mind—and his life.” Apparently! At the imaginary Honeymoon Hotel, Emma dons full fur head-and-body gear to straddle a practically naked Bruce in the kitchen. After that, they do a bunch of other kinky stuff. Mostly, Emma wanders around looking like a young Demi and Bruce sort of lets it happen. I don’t know. It’s all a little disconcerting. In the accompanying profile of the couple, they talk about making out in public, how Bruce went from “F—- love” to “Love is truly the answer,” and hanging out with Ashton Kutcher. Did you know Bruce used to stutter? True story. [W]

Ginnifer Goodwin Goes Bad For W Magazine

Ginnifer Goodwin

Ginnifer Goodwin appears to be pulling a Rihanna by attempting to break out of her good girl image to be a bad girl for fashion photographer Steven Klein in the latest issue of W. As polygamist wife Margene on HBO’s “Big Love,” it’s rare to see the 31-year-old “Southern belle” in anything less than the latest plural marriage fashions, but here she oozes sex in black leather and an Amy Winehouse wig while running around with a few greased up dudes showing of their 12-pack abs. In the accompanying interview, Goodwin talks about her newfound veganism, her breakup last year with actor Chris Klein, and her proper Tennessee upbringing that fostered a “prim” relationship to sex (she says she’s got “iron panties”). Plus, she reveals what she thought of the provocative images that accompany the profile: “I’m positive people don’t see me this way. They think I am Margene or Gigi. I was delighted that what I saw was so against what people would call ‘my type.’” Up next? A role in designer Tom Ford’s much-anticipated directorial debut and a turn in the movie adaptation of Beverly Cleary’s Beezus and Ramona. After the jump, some of the racy pics. [W]

Steven Klein Goes “Clorox Blue”

Clorox Blue

Minutes ago, famed fashion photographer Steven Klein debuted a new fashion featurette online: “Clorox Blue.” (To see the movie on the Flash site, click Moving Image > Film Projects > Clorox Blue.) Staying true to Klein’s controversially creative takes as of late, it’s provocative. Starring supermodel Amber Valletta working alongside boy-toys du jour Tyson Ballou and Ryan Snyder, the film appears to be a seedy peek at scenes in the life of a bathroom hooker. The series of vignettes are tiny, disturbing, fashionable dreams in which our prostitute heroine interacts with gold-toothed pimps and rubber-clad clients. Wearing couture all the while, of course. While I can’t say I totally “get” it, I know that I like it. [Pipeline]
