Daniel Craig, Steve Carell & Benicio Del Toro Star In White House’s New Anti-Sexual Assault PSA

Daniel Craig, Steve Carell & Benicio Del Toro Star In White House's New Anti-Sexual Assault PSA
“We have a big problem, and we need your help."

Actors Daniel Craig, Benicio del Toro, Steve Carell, Seth Meyers and Dulé Hill appear in the White House’s new anti-sexual assault PSA, which Vice President Joe Biden unveiled yesterday at a press conference touting the new guidelines for college campuses to help curb sexual assaults. Biden gave a passionate speech at the event, not only reiterating that “no man has a right ever to raise his hand to a women period,” but also stressing that victims should not be “re-assaulted” by victim-blaming questions during campus investigations. “We almost always ask the wrong questions when it comes to sexual assault,” Biden said. “We continue to ask questions like ‘What were you wearing? What did you say? What did you?’” It’s always heartening to see men advocating and standing up for women, and I wish more would follow suit. Check out the minute-long PSA above. [ABC News]

Paul Rudd & Steve Carell On What Their “Anchorman 2″ Characters Have Been Up To For The Last 9 Years

Paul Rudd & Steve Carell On What Their "Anchorman 2" Characters Have Been Up To For The Last 9 Years
"You know you've got loyalty when you've got Brick."

My excitement over getting to interview the cast of “Anchorman 2″ — which opens in theaters today — was tempered by a few pestering thoughts in the back of my brain. What if they hate me? What if they don’t think I’m funny? Maybe I should be very serious. You know, not even try to make them laugh. Or, if it comes down to it, I’ll just ask them about the new Beyonce record, because who doesn’t want to talk about that. Obviously, I had a rare case of nerves. Which is probably how I ended up telling Paul Rudd and Steve Carell, who play Brian Fantana and Brick Tamland in the film, all about how I dirty-talk to my dog. Watch our interview above, and, in addition to seeing the “this chick is weird” look come over their faces, find out what Brian and Brick have been up to since the last time we saw the best news team in the world. Spoiler alert: Fantana is now the Terry Richardson of cat photographers and Brick is ready for romance!

“The Office”‘s “Seasons Of Love” Tribute To Michael Scott

I haven’t been a loyal watcher of “The Office” in a few seasons, but that didn’t stop me from totally tearing up while watching this tribute to Michael Scott from last night’s episode. My high school choir (I was not a member) sang “Seasons of Love” from “Rent” at my high school graduation and, damn, does that tune tug at the heartstrings (even when the lyrics are ridiculously altered). Next week is Steve Carell’s last episode — will you be watching? Keep reading »

Not enough time with our major girl crush, Tina Fey, but pretty much the funniest minute I’ve ever experienced. Keep reading »

Quotable: Tina Fey Liked Making Out With Steve Carell

“I want to state for my husband’s sake that it was a comedy idea, not an erotic idea. I did pitch: Wouldn’t it be funny if the kiss was as long as the credit sequence? It was fun because we’re both so polite and not only are we both married, we know each other’s spouses. It was the world’s longest closed-mouth kiss. It was like a tongue-less turtle mouth.”

Michael Scott And David Brent Set For An “Office” Showdown

As a fan of both the American and British versions of “The Office,” I have on occasion wondered who would win in an arm-wrestling match—David Brent or Michael Scott. It looks like I might finally get my answer. Rumor has it that Ricky Gervais will be doing a guest spot on “The Office,” stateside, playing his infamous character. Writers, feel free to take that arm-wrestling idea. Or you could make it a dance-off. Either way, I’m curious to see which of these dudes’ characters is the more egotastically clueless in a side-by-side comparison. [The Independent] Keep reading »

Tina Fey And Steve Carell Might Team Up For “Mail Order Groom”

Tina Fey and Steve Carell are co-producing “Mail Order Groom,” a flick about a desperate single woman who brings an Eastern European husband with her home to the States, The Hollywood Reporter reports. The script is based on an idea by Fey’s husband, Jeff Richmond, and written by a group of four men. But what we want to know is whether the prince and princess of NBC’s Thursday night lineup will be starring in it, too? I sure hope so—Steve Carell and Tina Fey are smart enough to understand the mail-order marriage business isn’t especially funny-ha-ha. The mail-order bride trade is a pretty nasty business—it oftentimes dupes young women who’re just looking to support themselves and their families. Sorry to be a wet blanket but that’s a real-life fact, you know? Unfortunately, THR called a Fey-Carell pairing “a dicey proposition” because they are both so busy with their TV shows and their comedy, “Date Night,” which comes out in the spring. Alas, the fate of “Mail Order Groom”—and whether it’s actually funny or just trés uncomfortable—will be one to watch. [The Hollywood Reporter] Keep reading »
