Style Guide: 4 Of Spring’s Hottest Pattern Trends

Every spring stores are dominated with floral prints, but this year, designers branched out into exploring several statement patterns, which work in pastel, neon or primary colors. Here is a quick guide to this season’s hottest patterns…

Must Haves: 10 Stylish Pairs Of Peep-Toe, Ankle-Strap Mules

I’ll be perfectly honest, I’m not sure what the difference is between a shootie and a mule, if there even is one. (I’m also not sure how anyone keeps a straight face while saying the word “shootie,” because I just chuckled to myself typing it. What a ridiculous hybrid fashion term.) All I know is that this style of shoe, which covers most of the foot, save the toes popping through in the front and the exposed heel in the back, is huge for spring.

Now, mules, more often than not, are backless, offer zero ankle support and are responsible for some of the worst falls I’ve ever taken. That’s why all these mules have some sort of ankle strap or slingback — I care about you, dammit. Click through for 10 pairs to stay upright in…

Awesomely Affordable: 10 Things You Need For Spring From H&M

I’m gonna be honest, aside from certain key times of day, I pretty much refuse to walk inside an H&M. One of two things happen when I do:

  1. I walk in and almost immediately turn around and walk out because I can just tell by the air that staying any longer is going to give me an anxiety attack
  2. I decide to brave it, spend 30 minutes collecting items to try on, realize the line for the dressing room is 10 chicks deep, throw my stuff down in a huff and walk out empty-handed.

But now that H&M has an e-commerce site that delivers in the U.S. we can all avoid that particular hell hole and just order online, venturing inside only if we’re headed straight to the register to return something that doesn’t fit. Unlike some online retailers, H&M has large photos of all their items so you can get a sense of fabric quality and color. And they no doubt have a much better selection than what’s in stores. Here are 10 things — all under $60 — I’m currently coveting for spring!
