I’m gonna be honest, aside from certain key times of day, I pretty much refuse to walk inside an H&M. One of two things happen when I do:
- I walk in and almost immediately turn around and walk out because I can just tell by the air that staying any longer is going to give me an anxiety attack
- I decide to brave it, spend 30 minutes collecting items to try on, realize the line for the dressing room is 10 chicks deep, throw my stuff down in a huff and walk out empty-handed.
But now that H&M has an e-commerce site that delivers in the U.S. we can all avoid that particular hell hole and just order online, venturing inside only if we’re headed straight to the register to return something that doesn’t fit. Unlike some online retailers, H&M has large photos of all their items so you can get a sense of fabric quality and color. And they no doubt have a much better selection than what’s in stores. Here are 10 things — all under $60 — I’m currently coveting for spring!

Here we have Elizabeth Banks modeling the perfect outfit for spring weekends: comfy chambray shirt, cuffed colored jeans, simple sandals, fabulous handbag, and ridiculously huge sunglasses. She wore this ensemble to the hair salon, but you could wear it to brunch with friends, wandering around the farmers’ market, thrift shopping, traffic court, or wherever else your weekend might take you. The best part? I found all the pieces for around $70 or less. Get the shopping details after the jump! Keep reading »
It’s that annoying in-between season time, and if you’re anything like us, you’re having a difficult time figuring out what to wear. May we suggest the peep-toe bootie as a possible transitional shoe for winter-to-spring? The bootie gives you enough coverage and support for cold mornings, while the peep toe gives your lil’ piggies a bit of breathing room. If you’re not yet ready for sandals — and we are most definitely not — peep-toes work well in the interim. Above, nine great options!
Wrap dresses: so easy to throw on, especially on days when you just don’t feel like thinking about what you’re going to wear. We’ve picked out 10 wrap dresses — all under $100! — that will treat you right.
Boat shoes, a staple of every self-respecting WASP’s footwear collection, have returned for spring, and this year’s crop features fun colors, patterns, and a more feminine shape. I’ve never even been to Connecticut (although eating lobster at Jessica’s parents house is on my bucket list), but man do I love me a boat shoe. Wear them with cuffed boyfriend jeans or your favorite sundress–they seriously go with anything. Click through to check out some of my favorite pairs of the season!
As soon as the weather turns vaguely spring-y, I want to wear nothing but huge sunglasses and bright floral prints. These 10 floral dresses totally fit the bill. Click on the gallery to check ‘em out!
You’re an adult, you’re not a baby. So if you’re going to wear overalls, wear adult overalls, not weird baby overalls that will make you look like you crapped your pants or something. Conversely, wear them too tight and you just look uncomfortable. To me, the perfect overalls outfit would be loosely worn ‘alls, rolled up on the bottom with heels and a simple striped tank. The heels take the outfit from “I’m in my backyard weeding the garden” to “I’m a carefree tomboy out for a sexy night on the town.” Or something.
After the jump, we’ve got stars rocking overalls — some the right way, many the wrong way. Take a look and tell us how you’d wear a pair.
Maybe it’s because I have the worst cold, but I really seriously cannot wait for it to warm up already. But look, if the weather’s not going to cooperate, I say fake it till you make it. These fresh, brightly patterned skirts will put you in a sunny mood, even if the actual sun fails to cooperate.
Spring is upon us, and I don’t know about you, but my sandals from last year have definitely seen better days. I’m on the hunt for a new pair of bright wedges to pair with my cutoffs and summer dresses. Care to join me? Whether you prefer a low wedge or a towering espadrille, click through to check out seven spring-y pairs in a rainbow of colors!
