Ready to sweat? For the first episode of Trainer Trials (sponsored by Champion The Show-Off Sports Bra), in which I attempt to discover what there is to love about physical fitness, I dragged Ami along to Flywheel Sports for a little indoor cycling (spinning, if you’re nasty). What I learned: My legs are much stronger than I realized, I should probably wear my bangs back next time, and WOW, I look like I’m giving birth when I’m working out! Also, this was fun! Weird. I guess Lady Juggernaut and “Girls” creator Lena Dunham had a birthday last week, and to celebrate she decided to throw herself a birthday party. At spin class. Yes, that’s right, Dunham invited her friends to celebrate her annual name day (as the “Game of Thrones” folk call it) by making them get together and sweat it out on a bunch of friggin’ spin bikes at Soul Cycle. Max Greenfield (pictured with Dunham), who plays Schmidt on “New Girl,” was there. He apparently loves spinning. And so was Lena’s dad. Happy 26th, lady! Don’t ever, ever do this to us. [Twitter]
Alright. Back in the saddle. Literally. It’s been how long? Shudder. Let’s not go there. I’m turning a new leaf. Ew, that sounds like a cheesy ladymag article. Let’s just call it what it is: I’m out of shape and suddenly have a desire to live longer. Exercise is the key to hotness and longevity.
