Lindsay Lohan To Maybe Host “Saturday Night Live”

We’ve given Lindsay Lohan oodles of suggestions for things she can do to get her career back on track after her stint in jail, some time in rehab, and a possible baby stroller hit-and-run last week. But, apparently, Lindsay doesn’t need our help. LiLo is currently in talks to host “Saturday Night Live” on December 4th. Keep reading »

Men Prefer Betty White

I heart Betty White, but not as much as this dude. He’s probably the guy who bought this naked painting of her… Anyway, I cannot friggin’ wait for Ms. White to host “Saturday Night Live” this weekend! Although this awesomely hilarious song may be a better tribute. This hot track is right — beautiful girls of the world ain’t got nothin’ on you, Betty! [WOW Report] Keep reading »

Betty White’s Badass “SNL” Promo

On May 8, Betty White is gonna kill it on “Saturday Night Live.” How do I know? Well, just check out this commercial for her guest spot. Radonkulous! Now, it’s clearly time to start a Facebook group to get Rue McClanahan, aka “Blanche Devereaux,” a hosting slot too. Stay Golden! Keep reading »

Tina Fey Gives The People What They Want: Another Sarah Palin Impersonation

Tina Fey returned to “Saturday Night Live” last night to host with the terrifying musical guest Justin Bieber. She made us long for the days — was it only two years ago? — when “SNL” had Tina every week!

We can’t just pick one a-maz-ing clip from Saturday, so we’re posting three of the best. Here’s Tina in the “Sarah Palin Network” skit and, after the jump, “Brownie Husband” and a “Women’s News” segment from “The Weekend Update.” Enjoy! Keep reading »

Gabourey Sidibe Is Hosting “SNL”!

How excited are we that Gabourey Sidibe has scored a gig hosting “SNL”? Eat that, Howard Stern! I love how even though the world has been literally riding her ass about her weight, that it hasn’t stopped her from moving forward with her career. Go Gaby! There’s no date set yet, but we’ll be watching anyways to see Betty White host on May 8. I’m hoping for a sketch where Gaby goes on her “I’d hit that” dream date with Gerard Butler. Could be funny. I’m feeling renewed faith in “SNL.” [Celebitchy]

The 5 Best And Worst “SNL” Movies Of All Time

As those of us longtime fans of “Saturday Night Live” know, turning a five-minute skit into a two-hour movie can be either the best idea ever or the worst. Really, there doesn’t seem to be much middle ground when it comes to “SNL” films. Next month, “MacGruber,” the latest of the “SNL” flicks, hits theaters. In case you missed the skit on the small screen, Will Forte plays MacGruber—a spoof of the ’80s TV detective MacGyver. The film, based on some kind of far-fetched nuclear weapons plot, will also star Ryan Phillippe as his sidekick, Kristin Wiig as his love interest, and Val Kilmer as the villain. I must admit I’m a wee bit nervous. Is this film really a good idea? [Moviefone]

To help you judge, after the jump we acknowledge the “SNL” movies that were true hits. And some miserable misses. Keep reading »

Jon Hamm Brings His Matchmaking Prowess Back To “SNL”

The first time Jon Hamm hosted “Saturday Night Life,” cast member Fred Armisen met his future wife, Elisabeth Moss, during a “Mad Men” skit. Who will Jon Hamm’s Patented Lurve-Making Magic work on this Saturday? (Also, do you think getting rid of that awful Grizzly Man beard was a pre-condition of Jon’s hosting?) [NBC] Keep reading »

Does “SNL” Think Domestic Violence Against Tiger Woods Is Funny?

I had uncomfortable feelings about this “Saturday Night Live” skit where Kenan Thompson and Blake Lively make fun of Elin Nordegren allegedly beating up Tiger Woods. Ever since the Woods/Nordegren shiz-nit went down over Thanksgiving, I’ve been noodling a blog post about how I’ve heard and read nothing condemning Nordegren’s what-sounds-a-lot-like domestic violence against her husband and the fact that he seems to be covering for her. January Jones On “SNL” Teaches Us How A Lady Throws A Party

This weekend, January Jones‘ guest-hosting gig on “Saturday Night Live” turned out to be a disappointing failure. Fart jokes? Really? But at least the “Mad Men” princess got a few giggles out of me with a “Ladies’ Guide To Party Planning.” The best part is when she has to go to the bathroom and leaves for the woods with a paper bag. Hopefully Kanye West Won’t Interrupt Taylor Swift On “SNL” This Weekend

My favorite “country” music singer, Taylor Swift, will be hosting and performing on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, and the promo pays tribute to the Kanye West debacle at the MTV Video Music Awards. Yes, this incident was rather amusing and ridiculous, but I’m gonna be a little annoyed if there are multiple references to it during Saturday’s show. A joke can only be funny so many times. (Oh, and Taylor, please sing “Tell Me Why.” I like that one.) Keep reading »
